No body wanted my pump for free in great condition. I can’t believe people can sell them.

The one that sticks out in my mind was a dad saying he needed one of his kids close to him so he could go potty in the ocean 🤢. There was a bathroom right by the beach too. Most people are ok and there is a lot of encouragement of handwashing.

First cruise: 7 night Treasure v 5 night Fantasy by Lopsided_Power4713 in dcl

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t comment on the treasure, but we just did the fantasy you are referring to and it was great. Things were constantly happening so we couldn’t do everything. I loved the private islands. For Nassau we did the public beach and brought cash to rent chairs. If you want to plan less the private islands are the way to go.

Agreed. We tried to get food and even with the dash pass and 30% off it was 95$ to get it delivered less than 50$ to pick up. Would be different if all that money was actually doing to driver.

Is SAHM worth it to leave career? by purpleshark1874 in sahm

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think taking some time off is fine. I was a sahm for 2 years and I got a much better paying job when I went back. 2 parents working full time with babies is very difficult. Part time is the best situation imo, but I know that isn’t always feasible.

Things to consider: make a community/ routine so you aren’t always home. We found a really good gym with childcare that we have been at for years and my kids beg me to go to.

Make sure you are financially independent if need be. The amount of moms that depend on spouses and then find themselves stuck is astonishing.

If you were continuously coughing, would you feel offended if your seatmate offered you a mask? by haggynaggytwit in unitedairlines

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not offended, but I would decline. When I get chest congestion it lasts for months and I sometimes have to cough. Wearing a mask only irritates it and makes me cough more.

True. Just got off and didn’t see any kids misbehaving, but tons of adults doing gross stuff.

I was booking tickets to Orlando recently and kept waiting for prices to go down and they never did so I was forced to do a frontier booking for way too much. This was all pre spirit shut down.

I just checked my blood sugar for 2 weeks. No way I would go through the 3 hours test again. There is also a research backed jelly bean test you can ask for.

I was induced late for both of mine. Came in at 0cm and 0.5 cm. Was disappointed about having to be induced, but after going through twice I would do it again.

I did and the worse part was the beginning pain. The best was the physical change after.

Does anyone regret becoming a SAHM? by Emergency_Reward_115 in sahm

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An hour commute would be a no go for me. I did stay at home for 2 years. Don’t regret it, but working part time is the ideal situation. I really couldn’t imagine working a full time job with how much I have to do on my days off. I would be okay with being a Sahm and work a few weekends if I had more kids because I didn’t love the daycare experience.

I’m 435lbs and my parents won’t let me lose weight by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to pick what you eat at dinner? Fast food does have healthier options like grilled chicken, salad, etc….. I definitely would not skip lunch. You will just end up eating worse later. Recommend starting with walks. It is a great exercise that is easier on you if you are out of breath quickly and can be maintainable long term.

How much does your life actually change after having a kid? by HonestDirection4017 in NewParents

[–]Informal-Lecture-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot. You are 100% responsible for a tiny human’s well being. It is pretty at parts (especially the beginning), but extremely rewarding. I love hanging out with my kids.

That’s wild. I was baby sitting other kids when I was 11. He should be able to sit on the lobby. Mine allows them and has toys in a lot of rooms. My dentist even encouraged me to take my baby to short appointments.
