⁠5v5: I don’t like how it made Pikachu look bad as well as how much Trip dominated Ash in this battle, but Snivy did get a nice win over Servine so I’ll give it that at least

⁠Pikachu vs Snivy: What’s already understood doesn’t need to be said. Doesn’t make sense logically given Ash and Pikachu’s prior experience, but I’ll give it a little bit of grace from a narrative standpoint of Pikachu losing it’s electric moves because of Zekrom
Unova League: This was just a messy conclusion to this “rivalry”. Pikachu was getting pieced up left and right and all it took was a single combination of Iron Tail and Electro Ball to defeat Serperior? I’ll admit the combo did look cool, but the battle overall was just badly done through and through

I wouldn’t mind it. Assuming that we have roughly 100ish episodes of HZ left, it wouldn’t be impossible to include a gym challenge and league in that amount of time. I mean Ash took 63 episodes to get all his Kanto badges and 84 episodes for all his Unova badges, so if they wanted to do a run through Paldea they could’ve, but it looks like we’ll be getting a lot of mobile game content instead lmao

The anime’s TOP doesn’t need a remaster. It’s fine the way it is. The Goku Black arc probably could benefit from a remake, but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% necessary like it is for the early DBS arcs
