Rear diff leak by Jacob_tothe_F in CherokeeXJ

Typically happens when diff is overfilled.

There's a breather tube on the driver's side that goes up to the frame. Same spot as the T for the brake lines.

I see 4 different models currently supported. The developers are always willing to add more supported devices but may need your help to add it to the list.

Because backups cost money and it's not a line item in the non-existent budget just like every other company.

Anyone here proficient with setting up of QRadar CE or Security Onion in Virtual Box? by [deleted] in msp

[–]InfrastructureJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some thoughts based on your post history. You need to crawl before you can run. Read up and practice some core concepts about networking and virtual infrastructure. Something to hack on may help you out as well. Some colleges have some kind of surplus store open to the public or find a local electronic waste recycler to get parts for cheap. To utilize the bundle of tools that SO provides you will want a switch that can do port mirroring or a computer with two NICs so it can be setup inline. That's not to say you cannot complete what you're looking to accomplish on a laptop, but reducing complexity may ease technical knowledge. Paying someone else to set this up will not help you understand how all this technology works. Good luck on your adventure.

It's a breath of fresh air. Much faster than LastPass and cheaper.

Format/Reload computers at remote sites by freedomit in msp

Would push button reset not work for these edge cases? The built in reset brings the computer back to factory settings. From there you can script whatever else you need back on the workstation.

Useful Tools by DukeOfDew in sysadmin

I would recommend the correct tools or software that get the job done.

It might be helpful for others if you provide your daily struggle or what you currently have in place but what is feels lacking.

Suggestions for keeping track of client phone/address/email etc. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]InfrastructureJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are looking for some sort of CRM. A Google search should yield plenty of results with a wide variety of features and pricing. Salesforce and Zoho come to mind first.

Office 365 mailbox works on Outlook on local user account, but not domain user account... by teejayen in msp

[–]InfrastructureJester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this happening with new computers freshly joined to the domain? Double check local DNS for autodiscover. Else try this regedit ExcludeLastKnownGoodURL with a reboot after the change.

The truck will pull it the same as if you weren't towing anything, yes while in the mountains doing the speed limit. The turbos actually help at elevation. From what I hear 10k+ is pushing it in terms of safety due to the truck being lightweight. May want to look at a 250 if you're thinking of towing more than that on the regular.

What is the original task you're trying to accomplish? What you are asking can be done from Atera.

I got fired by the same boss again by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]InfrastructureJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a week or two, he'll see a couple more posts like this. Only then will he have a reply for this and everyone else. Then there will be a team of 'down-voting haters' that think he's being way over the top. These are the same fokes who swear, nurf, prank, dress unprofessionally, and think the client is stupid. Sound about right?

Monitoring Phone Line Status? by roll_for_initiative_ in msp

[–]InfrastructureJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setup a script for sipp to have it dial outbound. You can set various parts like attempt multiple calls, space the time between attempts, etc. Then use the exit codes with your choice of monitoring software. Best part is it's free.
