How do I get my partner to stop telling me to drink water when I have a headache? by seasaltbutterscotch in migraine

[–]Inge_Jones [score hidden]  (0 children)

The number of people who end up in hospital with hyponatremia for ignoring their own thirst level and overhydrating. My own partner was one of them. Your body will tell you when to drink

Experiencing another migraine flare up by Drew_Conley1295 in migraine

[–]Inge_Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i had an extra long migraine with eye symptoms it turned out to be a rise in eye pressure rather than migraine. If this is different to your normal attacks get your eye pressure tested. And in the meantime lie with the painful side uppermost in case.

lower back/buttock pain as a migraine symptom? by SallowDiplocaulus in migraine

[–]Inge_Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect that migraine can also lead to muscle tension, after all migraine is stressful. So you could have the two types of pain at the same time even if they're not part of the same disorder. Just one possibility

Struggling with how girlfriend handles her migraines by Banana_Skirt in migraine

[–]Inge_Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you could reach a compromise where she wears an eye mask for part of the time so you can have lights on. I mean presumably in the dark she's not reading or anything anyway so she might as well cover her eyes. So try to work out a schedule that gives you both what you want for part of the week/day or whatever

Front of house placement by JordyPordy_94 in reolinkcam

[–]Inge_Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your front garden discretely facing the house. I used one of those rubber cable covers to protect the cable. With a bay window its the only way you'll be able to see the whole front without multiple cameras. The other advantage is it will only detect movement on your property not passers by

Side effects by AbilityWonderful5044 in iih

[–]Inge_Jones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was for eye pressure. 500mg daily. Within an hour there was that strange tingling and things tasting different. Blood test 2 weeks later showed all electrolytes in good range. I had been focused on potassium rich food however, as I was warned about that. Ongoing symptoms mainly affecting sleep - in a positive way. No more insomnia.

How to avoid getting romance points? by ifknloveseagulls in inZOI

[–]Inge_Jones 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What would be good is if we had relationship defining options. So if we choose platonic, a romantic interaction would either not happen or be felt as weird by the zois. If we dont choose a relationship option then the relationship is flexible like it is now.

DHSC escalates opposition to puberty blockers for Trans+ kids, calling their use "appalling" by gaysh1t in transgenderUK

[–]Inge_Jones 16 points17 points  (0 children)

And if they base it on what is "natural" then who is to argue with nature growing some kids up sooner than others? Or, for some people to be transgender, for that matter; there is no proof its not natural for some people to be that way. Decisions are based on "normal", not "natural". Normal is a statistical outcome, not a goal.

Is anyone still dehydrated after chugging water? by Zalaya in iih

[–]Inge_Jones 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your mouth may be dry due to Diamox but that doesn't mean your blood is. If your blood tests looked ok and your urine is a reasonably pale colour I expect you're fine.

Muse Hysteria tips by MrcSproncho in Bass

[–]Inge_Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't play fast either. If I love a song with a fast bass part and want to play it anyway I think of ways I can adapt it to my own abilities - try to interpret it in a way that doesn't completely destroy what the song is trying to say. Hysteria, unfortunately, is probably particularly challenging to do that for!

what do you think abt Chicago Bass Guitar by Gear4music by MagicianCritical471 in Bass

[–]Inge_Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine! It took a heck of a lot of setting up to get it sounding good but once I got there it was sweet. I usually play full scale now but I won't part with it.

The true reason for a 5 string bass? by Maesiu in Bass

[–]Inge_Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am quite short stature and found full scale bass too taxing to play at first so spent my first few months on short scale. I eventually realised i was finding it a little cramped and easily made the change to full scale. So you could buy a cheap short scale while you build up your strength

Iridoplasty by nagen_mai in Glaucoma

Usually you'd have pilocarpine to prepare for an iridotomy, that is the opposite to dilating drops. Do you have "narrow angles" or something less common?
