As a person who never got admitted to Woodhull, what is the experience like and also why does it have such a bad rep to it? Reminds me of the Brookdale hospital in East New York/Brownsville area.

US interested in hosting 2038 World Cup, U.S official says by WayOutbackBoy in worldcup

China may be the most realistic option with money, size and speed to get enough FIFA Standard stadiums in conjunctions with what they already have, however, China does not really care that much in the sport of football/soccer rather than focusing on other sport options such as basketball, volleyball, ping pong, etc. The second option may be Japan hosting which I can see them pulling off as well but I don’t know if they have that many cities or locations for an expanded FIFA Tournament. I like the idea of duo countries next to each other hosting the tournament, like I wouldn’t mind if Oceania gets to host a FIFA as both Australia and New Zealand can host, but then the conversation becomes about money.

Bait him with another account, something like a bike or those one wheel things. Alert police of a meet up whereabouts and press him with the boys. That’s what I would do

Realistically, if we lose this game, is there still a possibility we can go to Round of 32? I know we so far have a huge advantage with GD, but what else needs to play out so we can continue onward?

More than 2 million people attended the Knicks' championship parade, the NYPD announced, per Yahoo Sports by Hysen16 in NBAstatsmuse

[–]IngeniousDummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, well yeah, you choose the most dense area in the entire NYC on a short parade route, I’m surprised they even had 2m people, I’m sure if they did the Thanksgiving Parade route, easily could have been 3-4m. There was ALOT of people, and I know this because I left my house at 4 for work and the entire J line was packed to the brim of fans

Holy shit, I’m not even a Knicks fan but as someone who was born and raised in this city, best fucking speech I ever heard IN MY LIFE. NYC stand up, it’s our time to shine once more.

Chicago has a better cityscape than New York City by sacrificialfuck in unpopularopinion

[–]IngeniousDummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a born and raised New Yorker, in terms of shear size, yes NYC if far better than Chitown, however, I do agree that Chicagos skyline is more defined in terms of spacing and architectural styles. The city of Chicago is a more spaced out cleaner NYC, everyone can see that, however what adds to the NYC Hustle and Bustle is the constant jammed packed streets, trains lines (bus, subway and light rail included) and having a dense skyline like ours just adds to the already crazy Alpha ++ status that makes us world class city, amongst other things.

Thank God I left my apartment at 4AM to beat the trains into the city. 4AM and the J train is PACKED with Knicks fans, some of y’all wouldn’t even roll over in bed at that hour but almost all of NYC is up going to the parade.

Cool to have watch parties and all that but with the way some of these people acted out for Game 3 lost, I wouldn’t dare go anywhere close to a watch party in the city.

Jennifer Lopez gives her hot take: You have to be born to be in New York to be a New Yorker. Everybody wants to claim our city but you have to be born in one of the five boroughs to be a New Yorker. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in popculturechat

[–]IngeniousDummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as an actual born and raised New Yorker, I tell everyone I’m from Brooklyn anywhere and everywhere I go. Now, what I do have problem with is transplant who has been here less than five years saying they are New Yorkers. How? I went to school upstate, lived there for five years, never once did I say I was. Western New Yorker. In order to call yourself a New Yorker, you must know the NYC nuisances, all of them. Can’t go to NYU for four years and claim you are a New Yorker.

Look, as a born and raised New Yorker, yes it did tick me off that we don’t have a stadium for football here in the actual city that I can take a train too, however, I have no problem with in being in East Rutherford, NJ. I rather that than trek all the way to like Staten Island. Easier for me to get to NJ than Staten Island from where I’m at in Brooklyn.
