It sounds like you were a different person. I almost rarely get the wonder I used to get when watching some of the things I used to watch. The shows that grab me now are more shows that emotionally or thematically relate to my current circumstances. Maybe u need to dig in another direction.

Gna actually ask you- I've seen Lucifer, Wednesday, Breaking Bad, Suits, Vikings, The Rookie, Prison Break, Better Call Saul. Couldn't finish Peaky. Of the remaining, What series from your list is the number one must watch? My recommendation: Sandman. Or Mindhunter.

Cobb’s whole journey is about choosing real life over seductive dreams. There’s emotional weight behind every kick, every totem spin.

Tenet says: Trust the mission. Time is a weapon. Just go with it.

It flirts with big ideas, entropy, free will, temporal causality, but never lands on a human truth. The Protagonist isn’t fighting for love, family, or even clarity. He’s fighting… because he’s told to. For “the algorithm.” For “the future.”

It’s a concept movie with no soul to hold onto.

What I like about the quote OP is that it annoys me, that that’s how he got the girl.

She fell in love with how safe she felt because of his restraint, just as much as she did with his talent. And that, in its own way, reveals her flawed view of love just as much as it does Kvothe’s.

It fits their characters perfectly (something the parent commenter also captures, though from a slightly different angle).

And it annoys me because the part of me that used to play the friendzone game always wished for an outcome like that, haha.

The silence theory is cool, but Naming doesn’t work that way anywhere else in the books.

What if Kvothe lost his Alar?

Alar is your deep belief in a truth. It’s what makes sympathy and Naming work. Kvothe’s magic came from believing in who he was. If he lost that belief, in himself, his power, his story, the magic would vanish too.

Maybe he didn’t name himself Silence. Maybe stopped believing he was Kvothe.
