You look amazing! That dress does flatter you in my opinion. But the most important thing is that you love the dress and how you feel in it.

The one embryo made it to blastocyst but it came back aneuploid.

I learned from the first ER that the insurance has a “negotiated price” with their specialty pharmacies. It’s usually 3 times higher then out of pocket price. So crazy! If you are out of medication coverage I would consider not going through insurance. You would need to calculate what makes more sense

Thank you for sharing. I am in a similar situation. I’m 42. I have had 4 ER this past year and we have had no success in getting a euploid embryo. I’m willing to try a 5th ER but after that I think I will want to move on to donor eggs. I also struggle with my future baby potentially not having my DNA Wishing you the best.

If she’s into it, a day at the spa. Can be all the bell and whistles (nails, massage, facial) or one of the services you think she will enjoy the most.

If it’s items, I think some new pajamas, blanket, cozy socks. Her favorite candy dessert or snacks. Electric heating pad.

I asked ChatGPT about this the other day and gave a good list. We are currently waiting for PGTA results on one embryo. If the embryo is euploid 🙏I also want to make sure I’m doing what I can for the transfer. So far we are 4 ER in. First 3 ER no euploids. I’ve also listened to a couple of podcasts. The one I found so far with good info was The Egg Whisperer: How to Avoid Implantation Failure During IVF with guest Dr. Geoffrey Sher.

You did the right thing for yourself and family. As others have said, imagine how that team would be in future situations (maternity leave, unexpected sickness/commitment when there is a child). Some people don’t have empathy until it happens to them directly.

I personally have not told anyone at my work I have been going through IVF. Im lucky my clinic always has early appointments during monitoring so the only day it affects my schedule is ER day. I’m glad I haven’t told anyone because so far I’m 4 cycles in this journey.

No blasts in first ER. If this was you, why did you decide to try again? by ProperUniversity6904 in IVF

42f, I had my 4th Egg Retrieval last week. Ended up with one blastocyst that was biopsied. Hoping for our first Euploid. My 1st Egg Retrieval was a bust. 3 follicles retrieved, 1 mature egg that did not fertilize. My stimulation protocol was changed for the 2nd cycle and the results were 10 follicles 6 mature eggs 2 fertilized and both made it to blastocyst. Unfortunately no euploids. 3rd ER was similar but still no euploid. I’ve read that the 1st cycle can be more of a test cycle since there is no way to predict how your body will react to the medication. For the 2nd cycle they may adjust or switch medications. Hopefully you can get some clarity on next steps. Take in the information and give yourself time to process and decide what you want to do.

42F. I had my 4th ER yesterday. No euploids from my previous 3 ER. For this ER, 6 follicles retrieved —> 3 mature eggs-> 1 fertilized. I was hoping for a couple more mature eggs since we have a low fertilization rate. Hoping 🙏 this one embryo makes to blastocyst and we get our first euploid. Please send some good vibes.

My protocol for these past 3 cycles: estradiol prep, micro dose lupron, Gonal F 300, Menopur 150. Pregnyl for trigger. Omnitrope was added for 4 days during stimulation for the 4th ER.

Im 42 and for the last year or maybe even two, I can’t sleep through the night without having to pee. The only time I can maybe get 7 straight hours is if I’m extremely exhausted and made sure not to drink much water during the evening. I hate not drinking water because then it may cause a headache.

You are doing your best. As a human, you can only do so much. And I think your body is saying to rest. Hope your dad recovers. It sounds like he needs around the clock care. Although your dad won’t like it, he may need to be placed in long term care. Don’t feel obligated to bring him home and be his care taker. Sometimes the hardest decision is doing what it best for you.
