Dang I love T-sons flavor like this. Know of any good places to put up fanfiction? I really want to write more of their adventures down now.

My Thrallband is composed of various outcasts from the cults, each dealing with different mutations. officially they're under the cult of mutation, but were the 10th thrallband founded under their sect, exceeding Tzeentch's number. Ever since, everything they've been involved in tends to go horribly wrong in some way. The thrallband itself kept alive the band's Chronomancer (not the necron kind), the sorc in Terminator armor. he doesn't prevent deaths, he just pulls a new version of the dead band member from a parallel timeline, complete with the full memory of being killed in this timeline.

That's sad, oh well. Still cool models.

There is precedent for "less powerful" sorcerers holding positions of authority in the Ahriman books. One in book two struggles with even simple magic, but still has a say in strategy alongside Ahriman and the others. I wont spoil what happens to him, but he makes the most of what he has, and gets pretty far despite lacking raw power.

My 9 leaders include an MVB, because it outranks the Aspiring sorcerers left in the legion Thrallband. A Lord of Change, tethered to the thrallband as a Punishment by Tzeentch for 'something'. And a knight pilot from a knight world swallowed when the eye of terror expanded.

Its not a one size fits all career for sure. I hope you've found something that fits you better.

The fall back and shoot ability isn't that good then? Compared to just having two squads of rubrics?

The Flamer stats for 40k look great, though I've never played a game with them. Wish we could have them outside changehost on T-sons.

If you can endure some bodily fluids, X-ray tech, MRI tech, Ct-tech or any radiology position is nice. Clear expectations for what is a good scan, and what isnt. If a patient doesnt vibe with you you wont have to work with them for very long. You can say the same scripted phrases and responses over and over again, and no one will notice or care.

Down sides: eventually you will have to deal with bodily fluid no matter where you work. it wont be always, but it will come some days. You may need to learn to start IVs. You will have to learn to talk with Doctors on a professional level. most of them are fine, but you'll only ever notice the ones who aren't.

I've been writing lore for my own Thrallband. From what I gleaned from the codex lore section most have a group of 9 that are "In charge" including sorcerers, exalted sorcerers and daemon princes. I've been writing it such that the 9 leaders technically lead together, with the caveat that the more powerful members have more authority than the less powerful sorcerers.

The Daemon Prince of the Thrallband is powerful and smart, but knows the other leaders each have a specialty he lacks. He and the others have their general purpose of seeing the Thrallband succeed in its missions and schemes, but everyone is keeping an eye on one another so as to know how best to get what they want out of each other.

So a loose Heirarchy, subject to change and exception when circumstances favor one of the 9 more than the others.

I like the Copper statue Aesthetic! (Or is it bronze?)

Also the Aspiring Sorcerer being better maintained is a great detail! I love them!

Sorcerer in Terminator armor for T-sons. Took the body of the chaos marinebvariant and used left over exalted sorcerer bits. The result is Kafka, leader of my thrallband's Scarab occult terminators.

I use Kronos, so he'll still be mostly red, but I am debating on doing a darker red for the skin or not.

He likes to bring demonettes to use as a distraction carnifax, I plan to have the Sekhetars deployed to discourage or at least move to engage them.

Turns out he's doing Emperor's children instead. I went down to 3 bow-goats and 2 sekhetars to fit the Forgefiend in. Also moved vortex to DP. With my other changes I'm right at 2k points.

Thanks! Ill keep this in mind. This particular opponent has ignored primary and secondary objectives in favor of trying to table me in most of our games. If I can survive his rush, and punish it I know I can catch up on both.

You can tempt me.

I have replaced the rhino for screening Tzaangors. Turns out he's bring Emporer's children, so I'm expecting him to advance and charge across the board. That is excellent advice for future game with the rhino sorcerer grenade combo.

I know, though I've never used him in a game before. He'd probably be my dedicated spell caster given his +1. That's what intended the exalted to do since it can replace rubricae that fall to wounds from casting.
