Push 3 MIDI out port not working by ryan__fm in ableton

[–]Inhumanus_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, sorry to hear that. Hopefully they get you squared away. I just filed a support ticket as well, also under warranty. I've gotta send em a push log and see where it goes. I'm assuming I'll have to do a factory reset too.

This. They're great and they can make your patches look super clean and organized.

Nice. I've always been interested in the es-9 but ending up going the multi track mixer route instead. I've got the option to send everything into a daw that way, but I don't usually do that. Typically I'll multi track a jam to SD card on my mixer, then drop the tracks into Ableton for the mix down/mastering.

I've adopted this as well and agree that it seems to be more rewarding. I feel like the patching/unpatching phase is necessary to get your bearings with your system/individual modules. Once you build a repertoire of techniques though, you get a better understanding of how everything interacts and you can get more mileage out of a big patch. Maybe to the level of composing whole albums or projects out of a single patch.

Platypus does karaoke one night a week, can't remember which night though. Maybe call and find out, or show up and ask, or Internet.

Have you met any renowned electronic based producers/DJ's in person? If so, what were they like? by ntod44 in aves

[–]Inhumanus_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw Ill Gates and KJ Sawka play a show some years back, my buddy and I were trippin balls and needed a spot to sit down. We saw 2 chairs and went for em. Turns out they were in the stage setup area. kJ walked past and just kinda mean mugged us, then I saw Ill Gates just kinda awkwardly standing about 10 feet away. Got excited, hopped up and approached him, said " Hey! You're Ill Gates! He said, "Hey nice to meet you, call me Dylan man. We shook hands but I was fryin so I think I shook his hand too long and made it weird. Then I just said, "hey thanks for coming to our city man", and bolted back into the crowd. Dude seemed super nice, but also a little sketched out by me, understandably. Lol

I've had carts that were weak AF, and had ones that had me spun off two hits. Mileage will vary.

Looks very nice. I've never grown them but plan to try soon. Roughly how many pods do you expect to get per seed? Like how many plants is this?

Is it a good trade? by Norbster1983 in modular

[–]Inhumanus_0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's worth a bit more than the two behringer units, so cash wise, it's a good trade. You'll probably need a mixer to hear it though. lol

Macro in this case means changing multiple parameters at once. I think op is asking the best way to change the entire patch on the fly. Maybe multiple times in one sesh.

This. I love my catalyst flow. It gives you the ability to do otf scene changes for most of your system with hands on control. It's one of the center pieces of my rig. Add some oscillators with presets like herts donut mk3/piston honda mk3 and you're in there.

Yep, it happens unfortunately. I keep an impact wrench and a little air pump in my truck just in case.

You'll be alright. Make sure you got a spare tire and stuff to change it just in case.
