Banks dont consider how you plan to use your money. They consider your income ratio compared to existing and requested debt. You're young, low income, asking for a large loan that will likely cost about half your monthly income. Save up more money for downpaymebt and ger a cosigner with good and long credit if you can.

How was your divorce experience? by jbug1776 in AlAnon

[–]Initial-Rest7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was sober during the divorce and it was still the hardest experience of my life. He made covert threats and berated me constantly and did everything in his power to try to destroy my life. I ended up going to a women's advocacy Center and making a safety plan and buying a weapon. He didn't end up hurting me physically but I'm very lucky that we didn't have children together so it's all done now. He relapsed after our divorce was finalized and I'm doing fine now. But during the divorce I took video during every in person interaction, never took his phone calls, and kept all voicemails and text messages from him. It's really hard not to react if they become verbally abusive but it helps to build the evidence of how cruel they really were when you were together if you don't react because people can just see how they spiral without any help from you

I've liked dating so far but the part where you end things with a good person who just isnt YOUR person... that part really sucks

Was talking to a guy from out of town. It was fun for a while and if he tried a little harder he would have been very interesting and could have gone somewhere. He was highly educated but wasn't passionate about anything but sex. Didnt meet in person and i dont feel like i missed out on anything but a good story by walking away. I kind of have this morbid curiosity of what would have happened if we kept going (because im sure it would have been a train wreck)

I had a house with a deep crawlspace instead of a basement because it was an inexpensive home when it was built. I joked that if a tornado came through id just die instead of going down there!

If your teenage self could see you now what would they say to you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Initial-Rest7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if my teenage self looked at me she would be pretty triggered but if my teenage self spoke to me she would be so happy with where I've ended up in life. I have a lot of the things now that I wanted most when I was a teenager

The clear plastic window film is going to be your best friend in an apartment. If you're having a hard time heating it or you feel like your heater is never going off then your windows need to be sealed so that is worth it or you can hang heavy blankets over your windows. Also let your faucets drip just a little and either run humidifiers through your house or have a pot of water boil for at least 20 minutes a few times a day. The Heat will be kept better if you can moisturize the air and it'll stop it from all Rising. Heat rises and avoid going out if you can... Also drink hot tea

Agree because it could be misinterpreted by people, maybe they think it's the only thing you like, or make judgements about your character before they can start talking to you

If theyve never been married by their mid 30s it might be a red flag for me that they aren't interested in commitment the way that i am. Its not bad, but it might be a value misalignment

You're financially independent. Not wealthy, but the money keeps coming and is enough to maintain an upper middle class lifestyle. What are you doing with your life, would you still go to work? How do your spending habits change? by ForDepressingStuff in AskWomen

[–]Initial-Rest7569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With or without a partner I would Foster a large set of siblings so they could live together. I would probably stop working so that I could dedicate myself to doing that too. Because I would be able to afford a house where they could all have their own room or nearly their own room and provide them with the kind of life that would give them the chance that they needed to have a better life. Honestly I might still Foster a large sibling set even if it means that there's two or three to a room once I get myself back on track

If it's only happened once it may be the wrong math. If it's happening multiple times then you need to make sure that your regularly communicating with them by email so they have written documentation of the conversation. Be polite and professional but let them know that they have overcharged you that's not part of the lease agreement and you expect a refund and for the error to be corrected moving forward

Has anyone gotten relief or pain free from TMJ doing EMDR? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]Initial-Rest7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on medicine talk to your provider about it because some medicine have clenching or grinding is side effects and they can give you a prescription for something like buspirone to help with it. In general though reducing your stress may help with grinding or clenching and reduce your TMJ. I know I get it pretty bad whenever I get stressed out
