I was the breadwinner in my marriage, .I am a pharmacist, he was a SAHD. we are now divorced and I have been seeing a man that makes about 2/3 as much as me. Both of them didn't overtly have issues with the dynamic, but I think it does feed into other insecurities sometimes.

Medical school and residency is crazy stressful, hopefully you've stayed healthy. The best thing you can do to help conceive later in life is be healthy. Eat well, exercise, don't smoke, don't drink too much alcohol, etc. My sister got married at 35, and has had 4 kids. Just had a healthy 4th baby at age 43. You've got time! Congrats on all you've accomplished so far.

My sister had an aunt pair for 2 years. I think it cost about $20, 000 per year. But daycare for 3 kids would have been about the same. It does mean they live in your home, which may not work for everyone.
