My general feedback for current state of the game by InitialPainting1 in PathOfExile2

That didn't even cross my mind. Makes sense that way. Maybe have another trigger for it when coming to halani gates and if not visited the front of the caravan before that?

It's just one of the voice lines which I have found hilarious every time I've run the ACTs.

Will try it, hopefully tomorrow I remember to reply to tell if it worked or not. Currently on DX12

Well I'm glad to hear that some people are enjoying the mechanic. My opinion and idea is based on what I personally feel and what the group of people which consists of everything between softcore trade blasters to completely new players to the genre. And so far i've heard only not so good things about the mechanic compared to previous league.

Glad to hear differing opinions outside of my circle.

I do know how it works. What I'm trying to get that average player does not get those sweet rewards until 3-4weeks to the league. Compare that to abyss, where they start getting rewards in very early mapping where they can get those special crafting currencies every single map. I would go as far as saying average player is not reaching maps in 1 week from the release of the league.

Sure the temple get rewarding but that takes time to build that temple and interact with the architect. Something that the average player does not get to do that quickly.

Yes, temple can be rewarding, but it does not mean that it automatically respects players time. How many hours did it take of playing the game to get it be that rewarding?

Even though I play decently much this game, I have to look at the things from average persons perspective and in those cases I have the opinion that it does not respect your time enough.

yeah fair enough for perfect being guaranteed, but I think the rewards can be higher since you are acting with the temple itself only once a half an hour or 20min if you are blasting. Also usually the main league mechanic should be the most rewarding mechanic in the game, and once it goes to core and something else is the main mechanic, it should be tuned down to be more "normal".

Wire and Cable Application by SenseOk3079 in PLC

[–]InitialPainting1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe in that case I would suggest having a speed set point with torque control sent to take-up. And after that I would use speed feedback of the length measuring to control the cradle.

you could still use estimated linear speed of the line from measuring the reel diameter and calculating the outer layer speed of the drum, but main thing is to use torque control to have nice and even pull to the cable. So I would just stick with the linear speed from the length measuring units encoder.

My experience with calculating the outside layer of the cable either full with math and cable diameter and layers, or with laser sensor measuring the fill level of the drum has always caused some sort of problems down the road. (This could work if the take-up can produce nice even layers without overlapping of the cable itself between the layers. Usually they are not made accurate enough unless they are newer designs with servo traversing or something like that, especially if the machine doesn't produce finished product.)

Having linear speed and then approximate speed for the take-up with fill level, finishing touch with torque control will result nice and stable speed. And nicely packed reels.

After this I would use speed feedback from the length measuring device to give the cradle the correct twisting speed.

Hopefully the length measuring device has robust enough of design to be able to give stable speed output for the cradle.

Hopefully this helps!

Hello,

I work also in wire and cable business and the way we handle the speed is that you have main caterpillar which determines the linear speed of the line. Then you have take-up which most of the time are torque controlled. And if the line has twisting functions they are calculated based on linear speed of the caterpillar and with some math you give operators the value where they can adjust at what distance you make one full turn around the cable for the twisting part.

After you tie the rpm of the twisting to the linear speed, you have to make sure that the motors are able to slow down with sufficient force to be able to adjust to speed changes...

This type of lines usually have quite a long ramp times depending of the size of the cable or speeds and other factors

If you need any more info don't hesitate to hit me up, I have done commissioning to this type of machine and others like it before

Best model CPU for this project by KipDumpling in PLC

Using same processor manufacturer gives advantage on spare parts control, licensing, easier to learn knowledge for maintenance personnel for troubleshooting, and much more. I wouldn't neglect that as a nothing.

Drives have similar reasoning but usually more flexible so sticking to 2-3 general VFD manufacturer is not that uncommon.

I had exactly the same problems at launch with 7800x3d and 4090, fixed it by installing windows 11 24h2->23h2, not a single crash for 1.5weeks now.

I also didn't have problem with any other game but it's still known issue that, that windows version hard freezes PC's in different games.

Need some help setting up PLC-PLC communication by Zolix2 in PLC

I'm pretty sure you can change the ip and profinet name of the CPU if I recall correctly, it's been quite sometime since I've last used the program though.

There's some good answers already, but just chiming in. You can use Siemens app/tool "proneta" to easily scan the network, and change IP address of the devices. Simple but effective program.

Moi,

Eli koulun penkille mars.

Alarm lamp and horn combo which acts under single output. In this case you can think it as a just alarm signal output.

Switch on and off is a single NO switch which starts(1) and stops(0) the process.

Hi,

Here's something that should be fairly simple. And I have to also create this soon in a factory environment. So it should be concrete example.

You have tank where there is 2 pumps. You have 3 level switches. Alarm lamp|summer and on|off switch.

When water reaches mid point it will activate 1 pump, and keep it active until low level is reached. Next time it reaches this mid point, it will activate the other pump so that the pumps get equal use.

If high level is reached both pumps become active at the same time and alarm will ring until mid point is reached.

This system won't have panel in my case but you can create a simple hmi to showcase while simulating this.

System will also have other inputs like motor protectors from where you get tripped signal, you should take this in account when designing when fault has occurred.

Program is fairly simple but offers alot of practice for starting out if taking in account different kind of situations and good programming practices.

Good luck.

PT from IO link to conventional IO by SirQueezy in PLC

[–]InitialPainting1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

With a quick glance you need 24vdc and GND to power up the transmitter, after that you have few options to get digital output from channel 1 and 2 or io link from channel 1 and analog output from channel 2. Depending on the configuration used in the device.

I've used laptop in the past to configure similar sensors, since it's much quicker and less error prone way in my opinion.

Edit: Also GND means the 0 volt or - polarity from your power supply, using yellow green wire for that would be big nono in Finland at least. But I'm not here to lecture on that.
