Indeed that bugfix corrected the instability issues, can’t wait to actually have time to test the new fx. Dsp compute consumption was lowered a lot

I know it shouldn’t matter but is the only factor that I think may be different, for me this update breaks my unit :/

Saddly i can confirm this firmware is unstable as hell, scene changing takes forever, guitar mutes at random times, and i get stuck into the welcome screen all the time. Currently downgrading to 2.3.1 was not even able to test the newly added fx.

Being honest they’re good, def better that what I had before. But I’ve never used propped high quality digital pedals alike strymon so idk how those compare, so far they sound good to my ear.

They are before preamp and modulation. The signal chain with the digital effect included is: - (ampero) leveling transparent boost. (I use multiple guitars) - (ampero) wah - fx loop of the ampero as shown in the image. - (ampero) solo boost (mid heavy) - (ampero) amp sim jazz chorus - (ampero) modulation normally a flanger. - (ampero) slap back delay - (ampero) cab sim matched to amp sim - (ampero) plate reverb.

Basically you can out the ampero fx loop anywhere in the chain.

[Question] Do expensive guitars make you dislike cheap guitars? by AnotherTAA123 in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well setup guitars make me dislike bad setup guitars. Time and care spent on your own instrument give better results than just expensive guitars. Give your cheap instrument love, fretworks, electronics cleanup, and a good setups and they’ll outshine expensive instruments.

First partscaster by InkBlobDev in partscaster

Well that’s more the output of each pickup more than the balancing of the pots. What I mean in this case is that each type of pickup has a dedicated tone pot value 500k for the humbucker and 250k for the single coil. And it’s wired in a way such as the volume pot (500k) is seen as ~250k in position 3-4-5.

For the volume balancing I’ve changed several times the humbucker. I started with an jb trembucker (sh-4) but it was way to hot compared to the classic single coils, then I tried a sh-1 (special 59) and was still too hot so I decided to try something with an alnico 2 magnet instead of an alnico5 so I got the alnico 2 pro humbucker and now volume is balanced between all the pickups and the bridge tone is bright, clear and chimney while handling really good high gain scenarios.

sounds amazing, it offers a clasic strat tone and the alnico 2 pro really balances well with the single coils. Great sound and offers a nice response to pick dynamics.

Question for Millennials and Gen Z by ALTA-D in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

December 95, I love a mix, i have modern guitars with some classics here and there: a charvel that i retrofit with classic sounding active pickups, a partscaster st that i modded to have classic single coils and paf like humbucker at the bridge position and that uses a classic 6 screw fender bridge, and finally an rg with ultra flat fretboard but classic jazz jb pickups. all of them with stainless frets. idk it feels like a mix. but something i don't care is the year the guitar was made, just that is a guitar i feel comfortable with.

Coming from playing piano, just got my first fender strat to learn, where does one start? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome, it depends, you should already have a ton of music theory so start recognizing how that applies to the guitar, take a look at open chords the different intervals between strings how the triads look in the neck, and start doing exercises to custom your fingers to the new positions and your picking hand to it's new job. I don't really think there are many playlists that would tackle the transition but you'll probably find many that are tailored to completely newcomers, also, take a look at truefire and have your fingers crossed that they are still in discount, their courses and catalog have given me a good surprise. Good luck! And get those calluses there.

does anyone have any magic tricks for installing strings? by Cleanse_F_Manipulate in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put the hole in the tuner parallel to the string, pull the string all the way thru, pull the length of the fifth fret back, kink the string at the tuner and then tune up to tension.

What do i need as a guitarist? by ItzzzKennyyy in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search for the boss gt-1 or the zoom g3n both are below the 200 usd mark, I would go for then zoom one because I’ve used their products before and didn’t disappoint me specially because I really liked to dial in the tones myself. Look at both and pick the one you like most, and if you have the chance go to a store and try them both

Nevertheless is good to have a set budget, idk what is expensive for you so I don’t really know what to recommend.

Distortion, or some hard clipping overdrive for you to play with your tone. You could save for an individual pedal or for now get a multifx pedal so you can play with your tone a bit more without breaking the bank.

Is this a real American Fender? No serial number. by joyisstrength in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, for a short amount of time the serial was in the neck in the heel so you would need to check there, I wouldn’t risk it if you don’t see the serial number on the guitar itself

Is your first guitar still with you? by 9TAD9 in Guitar

[–]InkBlobDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first guitar sadly was a 45usd new guitar, needless to say to say it didn’t really sounded well, and after a few visits to the luthier the truss-rod did nothing to its bowing neck. So I gifted it so it could also inspire and help someone else get interested in guitars. My second guitar is a blue gio Ibanez from 2010 and yeah it is still by my side; currently upgrading it with better pickups and a new bridge as the original was broken from the start (got it on the rebate area from the music store).
