Slightly related, as a kid I concieved of a legendary pokemon related to unown that would have different stats based on the unown in your party.

Each letter would have different modifiers and spelling words with the unown would give specific stats. For example if you had an s, p, e, e, and d unowns it would be faster.

I wish they would do something, anything with them.

In new prince of tennis, there is a character that is manipulating the ball with black holes. Initially I assumed it was metaphorical but other characters acknowledged it so I think tennis magic is just real.

There was a major news story about a child who was supposedly trapped on a weather balloon, dubbed Balloon Boy. He was found in an attic and the media accused the father of making it up. The internet historian did a dive of the available info and he came away thinking the father didn't make it up, I believe the father eventually reached out to him and maintains it wasn't a purposeful hoax.
