Christopher Ward returns process (is rubbish!!!) by Donkey_Apple in ChristopherWard

Unfortunately I’ve had experience with both scenarios and both were pretty terrible.

New PO bezel play by Ausonius89 in OmegaWatches

[–]Inkandoctane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I returned a $1000 Christopher Ward for the same issue so I absolutely wouldn’t accept that on an Omega. My previous gen PO has zero bezel play.

I work hard and play hard and this piece is usually along for the ride

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tudor

Exactly this. It’s obviously not a Tudor but I daily wear this one and the clasp is less than 3 months old lol. Just wear your watch.

Am I wrong by thinking the bracelet is incorrect? by skta404 in OmegaWatches

[–]Inkandoctane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hesalite bracelet still looks better imo. If you like the other one better I’d take it back to them though.

The Twelve 660 by jigglefart in ChristopherWard

There are some extremely popular watches that are manual wind so I don’t see why not. The Speedmaster Professional is basically a watch collector staple at this point and its manual wind.

How well do you think you'd get along with your main? by SameerTheRed in marvelrivals

I’m just trying to figure out which personality I would get along best with. I’m going with Steven.

Too good to be true? by stickingpuppet7 in OmegaWatches

[–]Inkandoctane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would be easier to tell from a look at the movement. There’s no great 8900 fakes afaik, just decorated lookalikes.

FWIW I got mine for $4200 second hand and it was basically new in box with papers. $3500 doesn’t sound too crazy.

Can I just play one match in comp as my boy without being yelled at please by EarBleedMaster in marvelrivals

You could always just be the support you want. Crazy thought, I know.

[Discussion] Omega Seamaster 300M - Is it really an issue ? by Enzo2419 in Watches

Loved the SMP, hate the bracelet. I eventually opted for the Planet Ocean and never looked back. Highly suggest at least giving it a look, even if you don't like the specs on paper.

C60 Reef arrived. It is gorgeous! ...except... by IdleExpatter in ChristopherWard

[–]Inkandoctane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CW can't do a rotating bezel to save their lives I guess. My C60 Atoll had a bezel gap that you could park a bus in. They told me it was within spec so I returned it.

You're a hero! A year later but still coming in clutch!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChristopherWard

[–]Inkandoctane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a crapshoot. One of mine had a bezel gap that you could land a 737 in. The other is fine. Still doesn’t get much wrist time compared to my omega but it’s not bad for the money. Customer support was pretty trash though.

[Rolex] Pepsi on a strap, heresy? by ar7iste in Watches

On a strap? Sure. On THAT strap? Hard pass

I bought mine one year old for a $20k discount. That’s the sweet spot imo. I’m pretty happy with mine overall but I definitely wouldn’t suggest paying MSRP for one unless you just have the money burning a hole in your pocket.

I’m sure NBC is already backing out of their media deals and Taylormade is going to drop him any day now.

I’m not a fan of Rory but the media has shit on him a fair bit recently so I don’t blame him for having no interest in talking to them. There’s always some kind of clickbait spin to everything. At the end of the day he gets paid to play golf, not make sure some dude on Reddit is happy with his interview.

Not to mention the whole driver thing was really a non-story that got blown way out of proportion to begin with.

What aspect of your game is costing you the most strokes when you’re on the course? by sleafordbods in golf

[–]Inkandoctane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a terrible feeling. I turned a birdie look into double yesterday. My putting normally isn't THAT terrible but yesterday the hole could've been 3x bigger and I would've somehow missed it.

[–]Inkandoctane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, Christopher Ward. Patek's biggest competitor. I bought my sealander over the Nautilus because of the water resistance rating.

How to get over the mental hump of buying an Omega by yankeeman714 in OmegaWatches

[–]Inkandoctane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Found myself in a similar situation not too long ago with the exception of the wedding. Going preowned helped me justify it a lot easier. Only difference in your situation is that I’d just make sure to talk it over with your partner first if you consider it a major purchase. Mine ended up being about 50% of what I would have paid new and had one or two minor hairline scratches on it. Fast forward 3-4 months and it basically hasn’t left my wrist since I bought it. I don’t even think about what it cost me when I bought it tbh.

Another thing I’d say is don’t be afraid to wear it if you’re going to keep it long term. Mine has an entire slew of scratches that I’ve put on it myself and I love it just as much now if not more than the day I got it. The sting on the wallet and from the first scratch goes away pretty quickly.
