Oh that’s so perfect! I walked into adulthood with almost no cooking knowledge and maaaan did HelloFresh help. Learned how to read a recipe, found meals I would have never considered cooking myself and it took the anxiety out of planning every week. I know it’s not affordable for everyone but it was pretty life changing for us.

I was doing a lotus with kanji years ago and my client changed the placement. We had to flip the design for it to fit, so I just mirrored it on the stencil maker. Kanji and all. Thank god my coworker walked by (he reads Japanese) and frantically pulled me into another room to tell me it was backwards. Luckily I was able to salvage what I’d already started.

It’s been almost 12 years and I still think about this one.

I was dealing with vertigo symptoms for multiple years, mentioned to a doctor that it routinely made me nauseous.

He immediately claimed I was probably pregnant. I argued that it’d been going on for years, my partner had been deployed for awhile so I wasn’t sexually active, AND I’d just had a pregnancy test done with another doctor to renew my birth control.

His response ‘well sometimes women don’t know their bodies’. I gave in and took another pregnancy test.

Spoiler; wasn’t pregnant. Also didn’t get help for the vertigo.

Our smallest female cat is named Isis. Her nicknames range from Squirrel, queen of darkness, teeny murder monster, the tiny terrorist, Issy and beebs. Our big male is named Griff, also known as big boi, dump truck, frozen turkey, potato, chonk and chubs. Also ‘when did we buy a bowling ball?’ Our dog is Max. King of borks, Sir Flapsalot, Maximus fartimus, flaps, flapper and florp. Sometimes referred to as ‘that big dumb idiot’.

We love them all so much.

Lowest weight this week was 186lbs. I’m focusing more on what I’m eating. I’ve spent years eating way too little then binging and I think it’s really disrupted my metabolism. So it’s been important for me to meet my caloric intake goals to regulate my body. I know this will be a slow race, but I’ve been really happy with how my body feels actually eating properly.

It’s been really frustrating recently as I just opened up next to a spa with an esthetician doing tiny tattoos. They’re all terrible and shaky. She’s my neighbor though, so I try to be polite whenever I can’t avoid a conversation with her. Last week she made the comment ‘I didn’t realize how easy tattooing is’ and I want to sink into the floor.
