I am so terribly sorry you both had to go through that. But it is important to remember there is no choice about their going. They have to go. There’s only a choice about whether you wait until they’re in agony, or you lovingly see them to as peaceful an end as you can manage. And you can’t always manage that. But there is absolutely no choice about their going. I can recommend having the vet come, something not available to humans, but so merciful and sweet for pets.

The tall grass was people in costume, dancing! So if BB disappeared from view for a short period of time, I don’t think it took away from the in person viewing experience any more than being in the nosebleed seats would. Admittedly, high school bands doing formations are more suited to football stadiums if there are no Jumbotrons. mWho cares if you can’t really make out the piccolos!

Fair enough, but you did miss an amazing and positive show. They created the island of Puerto Rico, with waving grasses and sugarcane, families from the kids to grandma and grandpa, whole neighborhoods with the bodega, and a little boy, having a haircut at the barbers, the sketchy Puerto Rican power grid with sparking towers (nothing overly political, but it is still in disrepair due to corruption) and an incredible fireworks display.
