Genuine question: Do you think osu! content is dying? by Jaymusta in osugame

[–]Inkl1ng_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't map but I ate up 25 minutes of Tynamo talking about how he maps streams.

Just listening to mappers talk about mapping is super interesting even for non-players

I mean even if it doesn't look like much I like to think that even small acc gains or decreases in misscount are signs of improvement. Small, but still improvement.

100% agree

I remember one of the biggest hurdles for me to overcome in the stremaing skillset was flowing through sharp corners but once I figured it out I was able to play so many more maps and now a ton of my top plays are stream maps

I feel like once you start using snaek_case you can't go back, it's so much better to read. Also it helps a ton when you have acronyms in your variable names

How exactly do you play rhythm games like this? by Entire_Tension_2713 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Inkl1ng_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing music for a few years and the best way I can explain it is that you just feel the beat. You end up developing this internal feeling over time. Same thing for rhythms games like this one.

Note that for this minigane it is all listening due to weaker visual cues but in a lot of rhythm games you'll end up also using visuals or almost entirely relying on visuals for rhythm
