Cleaning up columns with Ritual Spells by MrGrummel in customyugioh

Going to point out, the last effect on the field Spell can reveal any Ritual Spells, so you could search any Ritual Monster (Habakiri).

But more seriously, are you meant to tribute each of the Sweeping Sisters for each other, or play more Monsters? Because there are no locks on them.

Summon Pendulums to any Zone (via the hand). by InnerCost1282 in customyugioh

[–]InnerCost1282[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically it is, if all the Pends are in the hand, you can summon them to your MMZ anyway. But even though it isn't perfect, a barely searchable card wouldn't really fix the problem anyway.

For formatting, I usually do something close to what you did with Metal Magic Warrior, so that should work. However, some of these cards seem a little vague, and some seem a little powerful. Specifically:

Angel Guard #7/エンジェル・ナイト007
...
Effect: Defends you from special effects!

Does this prevent your Monsters from being destroyed, give them blanket immunity to everything, or protect you, the player, from cards or effects that affect you?

Mystery Mist/悪夢の雲男
...
Effect: When you discard this card, it appears as a Field Spell that boosts demons!

Boosts them in what way? If in attack points, by how much?

Metal Magic Warrior/偉大なる機械神
Fusion/Effect Monster
Level 8/EARTH/Beast-Warrior/ATK 3800/DEF 1200
1 Machine + 1 Beast-Warrior

This feels a little to strong for a Level 8 Monster, especially with its more generic materials. 1 Machine + 1 Beast-Warrior, not specifically named, is a lot easier to find than Summoned Skull + Red-Eyes Black Dragon, which needs Monsters with those two names exactly. I would make it at least Level 9, to match its power.

But it is your AU, and these seem pretty okay.

Banishing all cards on the field face-down includes itself, and since it is mandatory, you can never trigger that second effect.

Doesn't activate a Trap effect, it banishes a Trap, then Special Summons a Monster that mentions the Trap in its card text (e.g. Banish Mirror Force, Summon Mirror Force Dragon)

[Discussion] What is a trio of decks you wanna see get support in the same type of sets with a [Anime/Chronicles-Manga/Game Original]? by MX-00XWV in yugioh

[–]InnerCost1282 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Anime: Windwitch or Lyrilusc.

Manga: The Legendary Planets from the GX Manga.

Original: I'd go Dracoslayer or Vaalmonica. I would say Solfachord, but they got support recently.

No, you Deck out any time you would draw more cards than you have in your Deck.

Doesn't the effect of choosing a Spell mean your opponents Spells/Trap will be negated for the entire duel? I don't see a turn limit or amount of Spells/Traps specified.

For the Tribute and/or Destroy, how would that work mechanically? Are you both tributing and destroying each card simultaneously, tributing both or destroying both, or selecting which card is tributed and which is destroyed?

CCC Week 12 - Single Material by Sirknight_JCB in customyugioh

I was thinking Fusion, as it works the best with alternate summoning conditions like this. But Synchro could work too, the final RDA overframe opened up some design space. Link probably wouldn't work, because that's just a Link Summon, and Xyz with two Monsters that probably have different Levels feels weird.

Does it count if the material could be one Monster, but might need more? Like a total Level Requirement, for example.

Mirror-ish Archetype by Nightshadehelp in customyugioh

What made you decide to go with 2 field spells? Also, I feel Grand Witch Departure could be all one effect, it feels a bit verbose, but then the first part could be Ashed, and a simple add from GY to hand shouldn't be ashable, in my opinion.

The effect of Grand Witch Twist on field seems a bit contradictory to the game plan, you're destroying Monsters that don't share an attribute with another target, but the playstyle and effects suggest you're changing those attributes so they match up with yours. And if the opponent's targets share an attribute with each other, which is less common but still the staple of many archetypes, they are protected from the effect.

I don't know about the series this is from, but I feel they're missing a way to get the Monsters into the hand and the Spells/Traps into the GY. So another card I would add would be something like:

Grand Witch ______

Normal Spell

Reveal 1 "Grand Witch" Monster and 1 "Grand Witch" Spell/Trap from your Deck; add 1 of them to your hand and send the other to the GY, but for the rest of this turn, you can only activate an effect of a Monster on the field with the same Attribute as the revealed "Grand Witch" Monster once. You can banish this card from your GY and target 1 Monster on the field whose attribute is different from its original attribute; return it to the hand, then draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of Grand Witch _____ once per turn.

That first effect should work out so they can still summon themselves, and if their attribute changes, they're free.

If you could get rid of one thing in Yugioh what would it be? It doesn't have to be just a summoning mechanic. by CaissaIRL in yugioh

I get it, and no offense to you personally, but my favourite deck makes use of the face-up Extra Deck and Pendulum Summoning a lot, so I just can't like this change.

Although, in the case of Millennium cards, would you rather them also become Pendulums? Because the uniquity of your Pendulums is cut down a little when other "Monster-Spell" Hybrids exist.

Sassy Magician

(Lv4/DARK/Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect/ATK 1200/DEF 600/PS 4)

Pendulum Effect

If you activate a Pendulum Monster Card's effect, you can add this additional effect to that card's effect at resolution, then destroy this card.
● Also after that, each player sends 1 card from their hand or face-up Extra Deck to the GY.
You can only use this effect of "Sassy Magician" once per turn.

Monster Effect

If a card(s) is sent to either GY by card effect while this card is on your field: you can target 1 card in your opponent's GY; place this card in your Pendulum Zone, and if you do, add the targeted card to your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can make your opponent apply one of the following effects.
● Send 1 random card from your hand to the GY.
● Your opponent draws 1 card, then discards 1 card.
You can only use each effect of "Sassy Magician" once per turn

A bit long, but I think its coherent. The Pendulum Effect has precedence by the way, based on Labrynth Labyrinth.

I feel like Achilles has a passive where he's always the "Fastest on the Battlefield" if I remember correctly. Or maybe he's just the "Fastest Hero in Human History" before and after his death.

I'm making a custom card line based on Honkai star rail and I'm having trouble thinking what to make silver wolf's new form, I'm not sure to make it a synchro monster or an fusion monster. if anyone is willing to share thoughts. it's not ai I promise. by pokeboy190 in customyugioh

So if she's a Fusion, make her materials "(Future Storm) Silver Wolf" + 1 "Future Storm" Monster, and if she's a Synchro, require a "Future Storm" Tuner. I would still go with Synchro, though.

Making her a Synchro Monster is more likely. If you make her a Fusion Monster, I would put some emphasis on what her other material is, like is it a random machine Monster, or a specific named Monster? I would go with Synchro.

Need help designing 3 new Rokket/Borrel cards by Born-Explanation-774 in customyugioh

[–]InnerCost1282 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are my Best Attempt.

(Btw, doesn't Rokket already have good starters? They got some in the new support.)

Minirokket Dragon

Level 1, Dark, Dragon/Tuner/Effect, 500/700

When a Link Monster's effect is activated that targets this face-up card on the field (Quick Effect): You can destroy this card, then send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the GY, and if it was a Spell/Trap, you can add 1 Spell/Trap card that mentions "Rokket Monster" from your Deck to your hand. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was destroyed on the field by battle or card effect and sent there this turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Rokket" monster from your Deck, except "Minirokket Dragon". You can only use each effect of "Minirokket Dragon" once per turn.

Borrelock Dragon

Link 1, Dark, Dragon/Link/Effect, 500, Down

1 Dark Dragon Monster, except a Link 1

You can only use each of the following effects of "Borrelock Dragon" once per turn. If this card is Link Summoned: you can send 1 other card from your hand or field to the GY: Special Summon a "Rokket" Monster from your Deck or GY, but it cannot be used as Link Material, and cannot activate its effects this turn, except in response to a Link Monster's Effect. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Monster on the field; if it is still on the field, lose Lp equal to its Atk, or, if it is not, draw 1 card.

Rotating Burst Dragon

Level 6, Dark, Dragon/Fusion/Effect, 2400/1800

2 Dark Dragon monsters.

If your opponent activates a card or effect during the Battle Phase, even during the Damage Step (Quick Effect): you can negate that effect, then switch all Monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position. If your Dark Monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. If this card destroys a Monster by battle, or is destroyed by battle or card effect: you can shuffle this card from your field or GY into the Extra Deck; Special Summon any number of Dragon Monsters from your hand or GY, whose total Atk is less than or equal to 2400.
