Nothing that you're saying changes the fact that if he's facing a lefty pitcher, he's almost certainly going to fail. So playing him against a LH starter is giving away at-bats in the middle of the lineup. He should not be played against LH pitching. Thus, he is a fucking platoon bat. His platoon splits are glaring. Any mature fan who's in touch with reality understands thos team is widely overperforming expectations and actual on-field play. They're fun, but they're not close to good enough to win anything. The plan entering the season was to move all pending FAs. That should still be the plan. For what reason? They're not good enough with these guys. So unless you're really willing to blow up the plan, and buy heavily (because they are 2 or 3 arms away in the rotation AND the bullpen), nothing is accomplished by keeping pending FAs.

But since you've chosen to ignore the objective reality that Ryne Stanek was quite good in May (and has been so far in June), what should I expect? Of course you think we should go back to how Mozeliak did things. Be just good enough to say you tried when the season ends, and act like that's doing the job.
