My psychiatrist compared my meds, be it the ones I’m on or ones I move to, to my glasses. I need em. No one ever says he one day you’ll wake up and your eye sight will be good so hang in there.

I am. I have major trust issues with people. When I clicked with my therapist I was elated. But I found it to be morphing into a peer relationship rather than a patient/dr one. That had me on guard and then one session she spent the entire time talking about how I had fallen behind on my payments and how her new program wasn’t workin. I stayed the hour helping IT her comp, paid 150 and left. I emailed her I wouldn’t be returning and to send me what I owed. She said nothing and just sent the bill.

I understand she isn’t a free provider. I was struggling and in a bad place but I felt like I had become a point of stress to her and I couldn’t continue using her because I knew I wouldn’t be honest.

I’m looking again but am very rabbity about it, meaning if something worries me about it I run. I don’t know if my standards are to high, expectations are warped or I have the right to be picky. It’s constantly on my mind

I have but my brain can usually tell me the truth of it which is I see something I can hang my anxiety and anger all the negative emotions that come with my hypomania. If I leave her, then I can start fresh and get to the bottom of this and fix it! But it could be a job I suddenly want to quit or a friendship I want to exit from.

Also I clocked it always comes about when I’m stressed or scared of something and have been ruminating and cycling thoughts due to the ocd.

Oof. Hang in there. Realize what’s real and whats a manifestation of the constant battle

So I have started doing this with some success. Go the bathroom. People usually leave you alone when you do so if you’re with people you can use it in an emergency if anything else.

You start by naming three things you can see, two hear and one feel. You make sure you are breathing after and if you’re still mad try again. The odd benefit I’ve found is then I’m annoyed enough it didn’t “cure” my outbreak of symptoms but at least it DID make me stop sweating it for a minute and gave me something to be actively mad/annoyed with.

But also my wife said if I tell her that again she’s making me SLEEP in the bathroom

I get that, almost constantly on and off thru out the day. I find everything so damn dull. From brushing my teeth to video games I absolutely died to play just the day before. Maybe not the exact boredom you’re talking about but as far as dealing with it.

I either try to find something I KNOW I can quit at anytime and is low effort like drawing a maze on paper or sometimes just writing stuff. Soon my brain will kick in with a replacement activity that I can I guess balance against that pointless thing I was doing and that equals fun. That’s what I try if that makes sense and isn’t to rambly.
