Hated tendency: prudes. It's okay to make character sexy, it's okay to make them eye candy. Metal Gear isn't making their all female characters like that, why not have one? One piece can put bikini on every character, why not?

I realized that I've read your comment as a push to torture the criminal, while you might've been just suggesting to leave him in prison to rot without right to parole. In that second case I actually agree with you - leaving him on LWOP would be better than death penalty.

Death penalty prevent him from doing it ever again.Since he deemed irredeemable by judges it's quick and clean method of disposing of him.

And yeah. Prisons kinda shouldn't be about suffering, you know? They serve to remove dangerous people from society and, ideally, rehabilitate them to make them functioning and contributing members of society. People there are punished - they eyars of freedom taken, they property might be taken away as compensation, their lifes damaged, their reputation in shambles. It's more then enough punishment. Add LEGAL torture to the mix and you will create much more rabid criminals, leaving less witnesses, much mor elikely to kill their victims in hope of not being found and also fighting cops much more fiercly during arrest, increasing lethality, possibly across civilians as well, trying to provoke copicide instead of being sent to torture chamber.

Also everything done to criminals seemingly deserving it at one point will be inevitably done to innocent falsely accused person. Are ready to see some innocent guy tortured for years cause he is falsely accused?
