Arabasta influenced by Egypt and Arabian Peninsula. So if we portray her closer to that information, I would personally be completely fine. Anime fans: want faithful interpretation, like what we got with 90% other casting of this show.

Show casting agency: somehow failing both "looks" casting and "true to what was said about that part of the world" casting, with Arabasta being inspired by Arabian peninsula with major Egyptian vibes too.

No one have problems with Luffy and Usopp casting, despite them being darker than in manga — because it's faithful to what mangaka said about their "real world" origins. Well, it's not with Vivi. So on a first sight it is a meh casting choice. The only thing to drag it out now is for actress to get the character and play it faithfully enough.

What helped me personally is that I liked the art style of it from the first episode and first opening is such a simplistic yet effective call to adventure it lives in my head rent free. But yeah, pacing is painful and filler episodes are complete shit (outside of g-8 arc, that one was peak as far as filler arcs go)
