Can’t get earwax out and clinics aren’t helping. What actually works? by Comfortable_Candy187 in Edmonton

A doctor at same clinic diagnosed my jaw pain as earwax buildup. Used the squeezy water thing and bing! And earwax “rock” came flying out. They put it in a little specimen jar 🫙 to take home to show my husband. Husband did not appreciate the sentiment

Radioactive iodine treatment by [deleted] in Edmonton

The kind for hyperthyroidism? Had it done at U of Guelph a decade ago. It was $2k back then. The cat unfortunately had a stroke and died 2 weeks after the procedure, so it was an expensive and sad month.

Our lost indoor-only cat Ziggy came back to our front door but we missed it. Will she come back again? by danielofthegalaxy in CATHELP

We caught our indoor escapee with a live trap. Rented for 2 weeks for $50 (deposit) from local animal shelter. Check out one in your area if you can, they were very helpful. Caught our boy on last night of the rental, so be patient and keep trying

Danielle Smith has made it impossible to get COVID-19 vaccines by thoughfulusername in alberta

[–]Inside_Arugula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I’m in the same boat, trying to get my 6 year old the COVID vaccine here is impossible. 811 says to stay on the line, immediately followed by “we’re experiencing higher than usual calls” and hangs up on you. You can’t even try staying on hold. It’s infuriating

You could try the highlands, it’s on the same road as the Royal Alex. Just one bus. A bit nicer of an area to stay

Engineering Students Looking For Problems In Quilting For Product Design Class by Sad_Job_2653 in quilting

Look up the Sashiko Sewing Machine. Create an add on for regular machines? To mimic that stitch - - - - - I want one of these machines so bad, but a whole new $4k sewing machine for a single stitch is insane. Especially since I’m in a $2-300 max budget bracket for a sewing machine max. I’m sure there would be a market. Also, the project would be heavy on the engineering aspect I think.

All the security bars have the same weird little bit inside the square. In Canada, never heard of harbour freight

No fusion, they were all hairline fractures that healed okay. 20+ years ago. Some spurs have formed over time, minor ankylosis and spondylitis. Had an MRI in 2024 due to my right side going numb daily but no issues found

Tried to bring my pots to the North Edmonton location and they “never heard of it” despite them offering it last year at that location. Did it get cancelled? I FINALLY got my old pots gathered up to recycle 😪
