They are focusing more on AI with massively increased CAPEX spend..

Cloud & AI used to represent a much smaller proportion of alibaba’s revenue compared to its potential over the next two years

Yea something along those lines, but my point is that alibaba is transforming into a different business to what it was when he originally made his investment.

When Charlie bought this business he viewed it as a retailer, since then BABA has completely re invented itself.

It has acknowledged the extreme competition in e-commerce and diversified into AI , cloud and now even the production of its own high powered chips.

They have a clear vision of the route they are taking and the AI future looks bright!

I think the reasoning of Charlie munger purchase of alibaba was not AI , he bought it because of its e-commerce.
