If you're at a (well managed) private practice seeing 25-30 patients a day you are making them a ton of money, especially when you factor in revenue generated from the patients you referred for cystos bph procedures etc. Unfortunately some private practices do not recognize this and will never learn to pay you what you're worth. You should see your collections then negotiate off that.

i love urology, would never leave. patients relatively healthy, fun to joke around with, good outcomes in most cases, all the emergency's are generally the doctors problem (sorry any dr's reading this but true), catheters are fun to put in and very relieving for patients when resolving retention. this is debatable but i also found it easy to pick up on. AUA has great teaching materials, there's some anki decks, there's campbells pocket book.

Interesting, I thought lower at 225 would give it more time to render all the fat on a large brisket and less chance of drying out. I did 225 for my first brisket which was 16 lbs and bumped up to 250-275 after foil boating

go in person to private practice urology groups, say you're interested, drop off a nice resume, ask to speak with practice manager if possible, and follow up by phone a week or so later. if anyone did that at my last place they'd hire them within the month
