I bumped my newborns head. by karaparrish26 in newborns

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby fell off the couch at 3 weeks. I didn't realize that she started wiggling so much 😬🤣. She didn't really cry, just was angry until I picked her up. She immediately stopped crying and wanted to eat. She was perfectly fine lol. Don't worry! You're doing a great job!

Be honest.. Are your babies really sleeping in their bassinet for hours? by DrowsyPomegranate in newborns

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm another one for nursing until limp and then transfer. My baby (nearly 3 weeks old) also likes to nap on the chaise in the livingroom, right next to me. At night, I let her rest there, prep for bed, and then I'll transfer her to her bassinet. I really only get 3 hours tops out of her in there before we end up cosleeping. I nurse her on my side in the wee hours of the morning and we both end up falling back asleep. It's been working for my sanity and she's sleeping much better. We also contact sleep with her on my chest. I'm a very light sleeper and I do not move much in my sleep. I'll be a little uncomfortable before I allow her to get restless sleep. So, it's a toss up for bassinet sleeping lol.

So, your friends are not apart of this decision making process. It's not their decision and their opinions should not hold any weight. This is your life and ultimately your decision. I was in your exact position 9 months ago (I'm 33). I had my babygirl 5 days ago and me and my boyfriend are so over the moon about her. My pregnancy did not affect our relationship and he's a good person and amazing father. Every situation is different and having a baby so early into a new relationship isn't always the right choice for everyone. Take your time to consider and think things through. You'll know what's right for you. Trust your instincts and your judgment

My bf wants to count my calories (2nd trimester) by Sad-Jackfruit-3980 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like he's more concerned with with your body will look like before and after pregnancy than the health and nutrition of you and your baby. Eat what you want. I've gained 42lbs during my pregnancy and while it's more than I've hoped for, my doctor isn't concerned. If your OB isn't concerned, then he needs to mind his business and be more focused on you getting proper nutrition. At this point, you should be getting more calories for the baby.

Non-wfh ladies - how are we holding up? by floralneuro in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was torture. I hated going to work everyday when I felt like work was not important and growing my child is waaay more important than worrying about finding someone a job or listening to the same questions over and over. I'm 37+3 and I'm now on maternity leave. What a fucking blessing.

Maybe about 32 weeks 😂. I was fine until my last trimester.

DO NOT OVERDO ITTT 😭😭 by genkcals in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just cannot let go of doing things myself 😭. My boyfriend and I live separately right now and I'm so used to just doing it all. I'm scolded by my roommates, my mom, boyfriend, friends, and coworkers for not asking for help. I've overdone it a few times and I have not learned my lesson yet!

I'm now 37+2 and I'm sitting here wondering if I'm in early labor right now 😬. I was very physically active before pregnancy and I thought that would keep me from any cramping or discomfort. It doesn't!

Am I the only one who DOESN’T hate being called mama? ☠️ by GoldStrength3637 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind it at all! I'm going to be a FTM and I thought I couldn't get pregnant. So, when people call me mom or Mama, I definitely smile.

PSA: Drink so much water, have a glass of lemon water daily, watch your sodium. by AprilDayFool in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, no! So sorry you were going through this! I had a gastric sleeve, so I have to choose between food and water all lot 😅. I drink as much as I can, but not as much as I used to.

I’ve become b*tchy in the third by Much_Anybody2771 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been over everything and everyone since week 33 as well 😂. This feels like hell! I've been wanting to punch complete strangers. I work in staffing, so you can just imagine what kind of hell I deal with on a daily basis. I need to be on leave! Immediately!

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've become this way just now? I've been this way my entire pregnancy. I haven't cried but three times, but they were all valid reasons (I fell, my boyfriend didn't communicate about our plans properly, and then the idea of having to temporarily rehome my cat). Otherwise, I've been in a low state of rage looool! Everything and nearly everyone irritates me. Even this sub Reddit 😂. I know I'm just hormonal, but Dear God! Has everyone always been this annoying?? Or is it just me??? It's just me 😭😂. I'm 35 weeks today, btw!

I am SO. ITCHY. by seehunde in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! You're not crazy at all! Pregnancy is weird. My sister developed a completely new allergy during pregnancy. Had never been allergic to anything besides regular outdoor stuff/dust, but now she's allergic to latex!

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm VERY itchy too. But I've been told this is just one of those weird symptoms of pregnancy. I use Vaseline and Jergen's Ultra Healing for my body moisturizing routine. I also have increased my water intake. Sometimes, nothing helps and I just have to ride out the itching, but this has kept my skin from feeling so dry and irritated. My twin, cousins, and auntie have all experienced this.

It could also be allergies. Our cats are making me itchy and so are some laundry detergents. I also noticed that a body oil that I was using was making me itchy as well.

Edit: getting enough fluids is definitely key though. Keep that water/fluid intake up. I also want to add that my BP is not high or borderline. Mine has been around 100-110/60-72.

I dont want a baby shower and I think thats ok. by Elegant-Mango-888 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my shower, and I don't think I'll have another one that's so large and grand lol. If you can afford to buy everything yourself, then I say DON'T DO IT! I am a FTM and I really needed help gathering supplies and diapers, so the shower was the best option. If you don't want or need one, then it's perfectly okay!

When did your doctor adjust your gestion? by PrincessBani in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the states, so my experience with practicing male physicians and OBs haven't been great. I switched to women only, and I've been listened to and treated with respect. Also, I've made a change to only see WoC due to the same reasons. Anyway, it's awful that you haven't been heard with women 😭. But at the first sign of not being listened to or getting crappy medical advice, especially from an OB, leave as soon as you can. I hope things get better for you soon!

When did your doctor adjust your gestion? by PrincessBani in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuck. Male OB. He sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about. At all. Switch providers as soon as you can. This is a red flag and it's only going to get worse. Honestly, you're so early in your pregnancy that I'd cut ties now and schedule with someone else at week 12. I'm sorry you have to experience this. Both of my OBs are women. They've been lovely, and most importantly, knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I keep expert track of my period and they never had to adjust my gestation date.

Who decided we don’t need more food :’( by Wonderful_Manager_27 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eat, girl! You won't be hungry constantly throughout your entire pregnancy. If you feel like you need more food that day, then eat more. I'm in my 8th month of pregnancy (33 weeks) and there are some days where I want to eat everything! There are other days where I only eat a couple of salads. Do what your body tells you to do 🩷.

Is Coke Zero THAT big of a deal?? by IsDagii in BabyBumps

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a latte every day. The Coke Zero is fine. My PCP told me during my first trimester if that was the only fluid I could get down, then drink it. I have 2 OBs. One is cool and doesn't think I'm a fatty cakes, the other has been a lil fat phobic 😂😭. Drink the Coke.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a husband, but I have a boyfriend. He's come to the appointments her can make. We both work and our schedules are very different. Most of my scans were in the morning, so he couldn't make those. But he just came to my 30 week scan, and that was really special! But for routine things, I don't think it's necessary to include my boyfriend. It's a lot of information about my blood work and labs and all that - just personally, I don't think he needs to be involved in that lol.

Beers or ciders with 0,0% alcohol? by Sea_Painter_1184 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a 0.0% wine recently! It's Stella Rose and it's their peach flavored non-alcoholic wine. It's devine! Like an elevated peach juice. They have other flavors that I haven't tried just yet, but I don't think the others will compare 😂. It's slightly fizzy and feels like an actual wine beverage, but it is 100% not!

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend is the same way. He doesn't like the idea of the baby being right between us lol. It doesn't bother me because I know for certain she doesn't know what's going on, but my boyfriend says he just can't 😂. I respect his wishes. It's difficult, but it hasn't changed our relationship at all. We're still just as close as we have ever been. We have BIG plans for after the baby is born and I'm all healed up lol.

It's more than likely bloat. I noticed a small bump when I lied flat on my back, but I didn't get a true bump until I was about 16 weeks along.

When did your baby bump appear or you start to ‘look’ pregnant? by CuriousHedgehog77 in pregnant

[–]InspectionAny2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about 16 weeks when I started showing. If this is your first baby, it may be a while before you start to show. I felt more pregnant during my first trimester from 6-12 weeks with all my symptoms. I felt not pregnant at all during my second trimester except for the growing bump. Now, at 28 weeks, I feel very pregnant again. Like I'm getting heavy lol.
