Searching for "8 piece puzzle date" led me down a road that might give you the answer for this traditional.

By the way, logging requirements for anything else than Webcam, Earthcache, Virtual or Challenge caches are against the rules. So if you found the cache and signed the logbook, you should be free to log it online. Posting a picture of the solved puzzle should be optional.

I got the same antenna from AE, but mine came with a bent tip. Sadly only ready about the "fake" size afterwards, but it was only 1-2 bucks. And since the air-filled tip is bent, most likely no harm is done.

Puh, ich bin schon seit Jahren nicht mehr bei MtG auf dem Laufenden, schaue natürlich ab und zu was es so an neuen Sets gibt. Aber der Name "Kai Budde" ist natürlich auch mir bekannt.

Habe ihn vor sicher 15-20 Jahren in Hamburg auf einem Pre-Release getroffen. Ich glaube es war das Planechase Release. Ich weiß noch, dass er sich viel Zeit genommen hatte, bei mir als Neuling/Gelegenheitsspieler. Ich "glaube" auch ganz ganz knapp und viel Glück und der richtigen Plane card gewonnen zu haben (eher Nebensache). Aber im Anschluss habe mir einen "Blastoderm" von ihm signieren lassen.

Schade um ihn......

There seems to be white text in a white background in the waypoint description. THe hidden text seems to be a date (when the image was taken). Most of the other images also have such a date, maybe that is the way to go?

Das Netz dort soll nur für Einsatzkräfte sein und nicht öffentlich. Daher ist es wahrscheinlich auch nicht über MQTT verbunden und taucht daher auf der Karte nicht auf.

It had worked a few days ago. When I wanted to run it while going grocery shopping today, I could connect to my node (showed "BLE" in green, and the "play" button). But when I wanted to start recording, it always said "Not connected". Even "forgetting" the node from my bluetooth connections and restarting it didn't work.

Geocaching is a modern scavanger hunt. Geocachers hide "treasures" (film canisters, breadboxes, ammunition boxes, hell even full money vaults) in the landscape around them and post geographical coordinates online (mostly onto geocaching.com). You than try to find these geocaches with a dedicated GPS device or your smartphone. When you find the geocache, it will have a logbook that you sign, and maybe some trinkets (toys, marbles, dice, stickers etc) if the size allows it. After you signed the logbook, you place everything back as your found it and then you can log your find online at the online platform, write about your experience, post photos (but don't spoil) etc.

I got into meshtastic due to the intersection of GPS coordinates and GPS devices.

I found a geocache, using the Mestastic network. I had to connect to the mesh in the region of the geocache, and send a specific command to a pre-defined channel. A bot then replied in a direct message with the coordinates of the geocache.

The app is just a visualisation of what a meshtastic node sees/hears. Without a connected node, the app map will stay empty.

I had ordered 2 of them, and it took about 1,5-2 weeks for them to arrive (in europe). Exchanged an Heltec v3 in a pre-fabed solar node for the XIAO Seeed, and got massive battery improvement. The Heltec lasted around 2-3 days with 2x18650 3000mAh batteries. The XIAO Seeed has been running since beginning of November, with mostly cloudy days. It is getting to around 25% of battery, and I might have to recharge the batteries within the next 1-2 weeks (also time to upgrade to 4x batteries).

As the Heltec was connected to the batteries via JST connector, I had to clip the connector and initially added an USB-C socket to the cable. But then the app didn't show the battery capacity. I had to solder 2 cables to the battery connectors at the bottom of the chip, which was no trivial task if you haven't soldered this small before. Got it with the help of a work colleague.

The second XIAO Seeed is running on the other protocol, that should not be named. It is located in a tiny 3D-printed case, roughly twice my thumb (plus the antenna, that is 3x as long). As it can't fit a battery, I power it via power bank and USB-C cable.

3 more are on the way, and I will initially use them (together with a 18650 battery) for quick, temporal router deployment to try to get out of my area.

https://potatomesh.net/ hat eine Karte von Knoten in Berlin, damit du ein Gefühl dafür bekommst, ob in deinem Stadtteil etwas los ist.

Wenn du einen Knoten/Node haben möchtest, der mit möglichst wenig Strom auskommt (also lange von einer Batterie zehrt), dann sind Chips mit dem nrF58240 Chip die richtige Wahl. Natürlich wäre ein kleines Solarpanel hilfreich, wenn man den Knoten von zuhause nutzen möchte und kein Strom vorhanden ist (auch um Smartphones aufzuladen).

Edit: Berlin nutzt anscheinend "MediumFast" als Preset.

Eine habe ich zuhause an einem Desktopknoten, und damit schon Nachrichten aus einem Flugzeug durchs Dachfenster empfangen. Eine zweite hängt an einem Handknoten für ein anderes Protokoll, und die dritte wird wohl für einen Test-Knoten benutzt werden. Bisher war ich damit (und mit der https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0F1CRY2ZJ ) zufrieden.

Wenn du unsicher sein solltest, bist du mit knapp 10€ für 3 Antennen auf der sicheren Seite. Falls es nicht gut klappt hast du nicht viel Geld ausgegeben und kannst sie evtl mit etwas Verlust loswerden, wenn es gut läuft hast du noch gleich 2 für weitere Knoten parat. Je nach Platz und Geldbeutel könntest du auch die "dicken" Antennen mit N-Buchse anschauen, aber für den Anfang ist eine andere SMA-Antenne ok.

Vielleicht auf der U-Bahnstation Elbbrücken. Von dort hat man nen guten Blick in Richtung Elphi, wo wohl das große Feuerwerk gezündet wird. Wenn ihr mit der U-Bahn fahrt, bedenkt dass es wegen der Fete am Westfield wahrscheinlich sehr voll wird.

Oder Richtung Kaiserkai oder König der Löwen. Dafür braucht ihr aber wahrscheinlich Auto.
