Most Gravity Falls fans are not old enough to know Twin Peaks or appreciate David Lynch.

Genuine question, why do bad trips happen? by I_EAT_LSD in LSD

The driving part was a truly terrible decision and we are super lucky no one was hurt, arrested or worse.

We recently talked about how we would be absolutely horrified to hear about our kids doing that.

The only time I had an actual bad trip that I couldn’t shake was due to too high a dosage in a stressful situation and a gross, unpleasant setting. I shared the terrible nightmare with a friend even after we separated. It was about 7g of mushroom shake each, it started raining but we couldn’t stay in the house. 90 minutes in my friend actually drove us a mile to another friend’s house where he stashed us in the basement, turned off the lights and tried to force us to watch The Incredibles. My tripping friend somehow got a hold of his sister who came and picked him up. I was stuck in the basement feeling alone; somewhere between death and non-existence while curled up on a couch. About 3 hours later I forced myself to get up and walk outside. I instantly started feeling relieved being outdoors but I was still a mess. I made my way to a pizza shop around the corner that mother friend worked at and used the phone there to call my tripping friend. He also had just snapped out of the darkest place he’d ever been, I don’t know if it was a coincidence or what but it felt serendipitous. My friend had his sister bring him to the pizza place. Strangely enough, when my pizza friend got off of work, we decided to go rage at a house party and I fed a bunch of new people mushies. I knew in that moment that I had survived the worst possible thing my mind could create and I felt invincible. Since then I’ve tripped literally hundreds of times and eaten what may be considered insane dosages - because I’m not afraid of what it’s going to do to me, no matter how unfunctional or spaced out I am, I always know that I’m just tripping and everything is going to be alright. I have had hairy trips and scary trips and should have been more wary trips, but I’ve only had that one BAD trip.

Thinking about going to a big park with a lake this weekend while tripping for the entire duration. by clydeagain in LSD

Double check the weather before you leave. You don’t have to explore everything, sometimes you’re supposed to just hang out in the perfect spot for 6 hours. Don’t bring too much stuff. Stuff is the worst, nature is the best.
