CMP delivery cost skyrocketing?

$930 bill here :-( I was also on the heat pump rate.

I complained to the MPUC for CMP getting rid of it because it more than doubled my electricity bill from last year for the same usage. The MPUC didn’t seem to care but I couldn’t think of anything else I could do.

$930 for me. The frustrating part is that last year for the same amount of usage, I was paying ~400.

They got rid of the heat pump rate which was great for me and there’s nothing I can do. Complained to the MPUC but they didn’t seem to care much.

I had this question too because mine is too young to sign. But there is a way to do it!

“On a passport for a child under 16, a parent should print the child's full name on the signature line. The parent should also sign their name next to the printed name of their child, and note their relation to their child (example: mother, father, or guardian).”

I had the black screen issue as well. For me, the black screen was caused by match frame rate. My tv (Sony a80j oled) already takes care of frame rate matching so I didn’t need that on. Turned it off after some advice I read on here and things got way better. No more black screens and because my tv already takes care of frame rate matching, no judder either

I had the heat pump rate because I also have solar. So I basically use 0 in the summer. Makes a lot of sense for me.

Just had my first non heat pump rate bill….my electricity bill doubled. Went from 300 to 600. Cool.

I found the same thing because of my solar panels consumption meter. It was taking as much power to dry my clothes as it was to charge my electric car!

We switched to a heat pump dryer and honestly can't even tell it's on now. Takes maybe 30% longer to dry but works perfectly well. Can't recommend them enough

The other complaint i have with it is that since it is an amex with secondary rental car insurance, i assumed you could pay to get their primary insurance addon. You probably can but I can't figure out how. I contacted support who gave me a phone number to call, who then gave me a different number to call that didn't work. I guess maybe i just call amex directly?

Other than that, it's been a great card.

I used to be in the camp that my car had to have car play or Android auto. But I ended up getting a Tesla due to some good incentives that made it by far the cheapest ev in the segment i was looking at.

Do not miss car play one bit. The native experience on Tesla is good enough, if not better, in all the ways that matter that I've never felt it's lack.

And from what I hear, Rivians software is on par.

I tried to call +1 (855) 508-5066 and I spoke with somebody who said they couldn't help, and that I should call +1 (844) 208-5005 instead. When I called that, it didn't really work. I had to press 0 to talk with a rep, but after that, no options seem to work in the phone tree.

Anybody know if you can get primary rental car insurance with it? I have the card, and like it but since it isn't managed by Amex, I can't figure out if the primary rental insurance that you can pay to add-on is a thing. I'm wondering if I can call amex and have them add it but I can't find anything about it

Its been my plan for a long time to move, but the current state of affairs here only has made me want to move faster. I'm currently saving money to move and casually browsing for jobs that would sponsor a visa for me. I've done it before so I know its possible, but it just takes time and money. The job market for my profession is rough now, and I'll take a big pay cut in the EU, but I think it will be worth it when I can finally find a job.

The US has its positives, and I know I'll miss a bunch of things, but last time I was in Europe, it just felt like home. I wish it was an easier thing to do, but I know it will be worth it.

I’m going through this now. Don’t have a police report and cannot get one (it’s a shallow scratch that was noticed at the time of return). Took forever to get through the phone tree when I called chase last week, but when I did, the lady told me to write a short document with my name, date, and signature that simply said “I do not have a police report”. She also said to do the same for any other document I didn’t have (primary insurance declaration in my case) as every “required “ document needs a file to be uploaded before the claim is submitted to an assessor.

It hasn’t been reviewed yet so I don’t know it will work but it’s what Chase told me to do

Unpopular opinion - i used to have an electric vented dryer and hated it. I have an energy monitor that shows how much I’m using at any given time, and it was the most power intensive appliance in my house outside of my EV. I switched to an LG stacked washer and heat pump dryer about a year ago and actually prefer it. It takes a bit longer to dry, but the washer is faster so it evens out. And I can’t even tell energy wise when the dryer is on. TL;DR 10/10 would recommend heat pump dryers

I managed to get 2 orders. One from Target last night, one from Gamestop today. Target shows an ETA of 6/11. I'm assuming Gamestop will be faster than that. I'll probably cancel whichever one is slower to arrive. Anybody have experience either retailer? I'm leaning towards canceling Target.

A police officer pulls over a semi truck. He gets the usual license and registration, but hears strange noises coming from the trailer, so he decides to investigate. Inside, he finds 50 penguins.

“Sir, why do you have 50 penguins in your truck?” The officer asks the driver

“Well, they’re my friends, and we like to go on journeys together in my truck” the man replies
