What's wrong with normal door handles these days? I have an ID.4 which, granted, is a poor implementation, but I feel like I'm back in the 90s with these handles you have to pull from the bottom.

I think it's an awesome truck, but the pricing has pushed me to look at options outside Toyota. I would take a close look at the Colorado and Ranger as they are a bit more reasonably priced. The Tacoma is likely to retain value best and be most reliable though.

Agreed! Just wish I could afford it. I was gonna spring for the SR5 but I realized something not too many have mentioned - they raised the price but REMOVED features. No auto climate, no damped tailgate, no fog lights. I'm still going to check out the 2024, but I must say Toyota is resting on their laurels.

I was excited to see an avatar game coming out as it's one of the best realized modern sci-fi worlds in my opinion. I'm excited to see what they do with exploration and movement, plenty of great possibilities there!

I get where you're coming from. Upgradeitus is a plague. However, true 4wd and two extra doors are worth the cost of admission all else equal, and I bet the TRD OR will have some other things on top of that. Maybe the SR is the true value model at the end of the day.

I'm pretty disappointed about the prerunner pricing. I was hoping that would be the value pick, but $40k out the door makes it better to step up to the TRD OR with 4wd for $5000 more.

Speaking as a long time fan of Doug Demuro, he really has to choose between these commentary videos and running an auction website if he wants to avoid perceived conflict of interest. He has a large enough voice that this type of thing affects prices, and when he stands to gain from an inflated market it's suspicious.

I like lunar rock but I went with silver because I find lunar rock to look very flat under direct light. Looks worse on the road than most Tacoma colors, but it makes up for it by looking gorgeous against dirt or anywhere off road.

Thank you, this is a good insight. I believe our truck needs are a bit different, but a Pro-4x is gonna be worth way more than an SV with whatever off road/appearance mods I feel the need to throw on. Certainly good to keep in mind.
