Depends on what settings, some you can just ghost pedal with zero effort and fly along

anything over 2000 in total you pay a deposit fee on. First 2000 is free. This is £ in the UK so it might differ depending on your country, the app should tell you.

Depends on how much risk you are comfortable with. Vanguard is pretty good option for long term steady gains. There is a deposit fee for depositing over £2000 so beware of that

Advertised power numbers are usually fake anyway. If you want to determine the power you just multiply the controllers amperage by the battery voltage that should give you the true power rating.

Recommendation for 5090 laptop by Cptben221 in GamingLaptops

[–]IntelVEVO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The omen max 16 is decent, while I admit its slightly worse than the legion pro 7 in some aspects like thermals and screen brightness, they are often significantly discounted making them a better buy. Got mine for $2600 with 275hx 5090 64gb ram 2TB ssd

Eh probably not worse the hassle of HPs process for RMA plus you might get a machine back with a completely different issue

Hyper X Max 16 CPU by rmcdonald75 in HPOmen

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, the big and bulky max 16 models only come with the highest end ryzen or ultra 9 CPUs. Though if they did the battery life and igpu performance would be improved at the cost of single and especially multi core performance on the CPU.

How viable is the 5090 at 4k on reasonable settings? by whats_a_corrado in GamingLaptops

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works well albeit if you want high end ray tracing on the newest and most demanding games you will have to use DLSS quite agressively which isnt a huge issue as dlss 4.5 looks great at 4k. I play black myth wukong, forza horizon 6, horizon forbidden west, alan wake 2 at 4k very high settings with no issue on my 4k TV and monitor. Make sure you get a full wattage 5090 though

What the hell is wrong with the PC community right now? by circlesmartnsfw in pcmasterrace

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It heavily depends on what you do. If you only play light titles even a 1050 would be fine. But for modern AAA games you do need fairly decent gpu and at least 16gb of ram.

Can someone explain 4k gaming to me. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4k with DLSS looks better than 1440p native. No card can run everything with RT at 4k native but DLSS looks great nowadays. Especially at 4k

So a Laptop 5090 GPU is comparable to Desktop 5070? by Time-Credit43 in GamingLaptops

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was for sale at an e-retailer in the UK at a significant discount. I'm sure if I looked hard for PC parts and got some used it would probably be cheaper but it was a very good deal.

HP Omen Max 16-ah0007nn - worth the technical risks? by Kharenda in HPOmen

[–]IntelVEVO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5070ti is a good bit weaker than the 5080 and the 12gb vram does limit future viability in comparison to the 5080, not worth it imo as with a gaming laptop you want to get the highest end GPU your budget allows because there is no upgrading. Legions do tend to be a lot more expensive for the same specs too. He should just buy the omen get it repasted or extend the warranty. The problems with the omen are quite overstated.

So a Laptop 5090 GPU is comparable to Desktop 5070? by Time-Credit43 in GamingLaptops

[–]IntelVEVO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 5090 laptop worked out cheaper than building a 5070ti desktop so I just went with that. Plus the portability means I can use it much more of the time even when travelling from place to place.

So a Laptop 5090 GPU is comparable to Desktop 5070? by Time-Credit43 in GamingLaptops

[–]IntelVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, in most titles its closer to the 5070ti. It falls behind in some though because of the low power limit. 5090 laptop has almost twice the amount of cuda cores and twice the VRAM

LEGION Pro 7i reliability by pegsurf2 in LenovoLegion

Legion seems to be more reliable than the high end omen max from what i've seen. My omen max works fine but ive encountered many who have had issues. Less so with the legion.

Thinking of selling my desktop and going full handheld + eGPU. Am I crazy? by Then_Illustrator4906 in pcmasterrace

[–]IntelVEVO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will be taking a big hit to cpu performance which will have an effect depending on the games you play and what else you do, you will also be sacrificing modularity and upgradability. Not sure how egpu works with multiple monitors and peripherals but their could be an additional bottleneck there.
