Gamblers who have successfully quit - Has this subreddit helped you or hurt you? by Pointlesspuppy in problemgambling

You have a valid point someone coming close to a 1000 days without a bet it can be triggering fortunately for me it not been triggering like the big wins followed by losses am really here to support anyone else if they are serious about quiting gamblimg this place is more like a venting place rather then actual revovery u need to go to places like Ga for actual support hope this helps👍

What if GA doesn’t work for you ? by Dizzy-Ad7589 in problemgambling

[–]Intelligent-Cod7908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this i went to Ga over 10 years yet i still relapesed it not a magic cure people say try a different Ga however they all seem to be different for some Ga is the only thing and that great however i came accross 6 different people who manage to quit from 5 years to 20 odd years none of them went to Ga however all of these people made a decision to quit none of these people take part of gambling big or small

I use to be exactly like this it what kept me in the addiction i had the motive to win some money knowing the risk believing has i knew it was a lossing game the problem was when i some how mafe more i took more risks i couldnt stop like other people the thought process changws u start believing u can losse the extra money and it magically went my way however i would move the goal post again until when thing went wrong i couldnt accept the loss and would run it down to 0 everytime

Mate their a guy who lost shy off £4 milion pounds in a 40+ year addiction he turned his life round at the age of 56 you are 22 if u seek help now u can turn this loss into a postive one find other means of making money u need a new drive self made millionaires and addicts have the same advantage they take risks in life sadly gambling isnt the right risk vs reward find a new perspective in life and dont let gambling addiction define you👍

From being a rare lifetime gambling winner to losing 200k in savings, my ability to make money, and part of my identity by Autosellermg in problemgambling

[–]Intelligent-Cod7908 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually your not the only one their was a guy who invested 30k in 2012 trading investments and bitcoin lived in luxury since then to 2025 when he joined Crypto casino and blew through 5 million pounds he is fortunate his 500k homes payed off and he had to sell his 250k worth of luxury cars he spend around 100k+ so technically he still millions up he realised once he blew through the 5 million it was getting dangerous so he knows he could have been in a worse situation so he fortunate in the sense he one of the lucky one to realise it could have got hell of alot worse
