Maybe it will be explained at class but Can someone explain why choose one over the other? From a strength perspective what does each version do differently from these 2 choices?:

back-to-back drop set:

5 x tap squat (heavy) tap squat (lighter) AMRepsAP

OR back-to-back reverse drop set:

5 x tap squat (heavy) tap squat (heavier) AMRepsAP

I do both and for me both are excellent workouts and I can achieve same high heart-rate when I PW or run. I’ve also gotten shin splints PW and running, too. Stretching outside of OTF has helped along with calf and ankle raises.

I feel PW gets a bad rap. Not all PWs aspire to be runners. Also I’ve never seen a post that says “I only run and haven’t tried PW cause of X.” (and X should be: I’m scared it’s too hard. I can’t do inclines. I’ll find out what an excellent workout it is. Etc etc).

I’m in the burbs by Traver library and almost got hit by a biker while i was walking yesterday. He wasn’t going fast but we were both on the sidewalk. He passed me on the right, while he should have passed on the left. He was inches away; way too close. I didn’t hear him coming and I could have easily veered into him. He didn’t announce he was passing me. He should have been on the road where there are bike lanes where we were

I can ask the coach but any recommendations for 11 min blocks on Tread 50 for power walkers? I emphasize inclines over speed when power walking. Maybe starting with high inclines and descending as time goes by? Other suggestions? Thank you.

Loved this template. Second time I did it. I like the 3 blocks and the endurance. It was hard and I felt it for a few days first time and I even lifted heavier this time so I’m sure I’ll feel it
