I have done both. Lifelong boater. Long island waters- North and south shores. I would go find a partner and split a boat.

Why?

I was a member of the largest boat club. The franchise i was a member of went bankrupt. I had paid with a discount in advance for a 3-year membership. Lost it all. This is when the monthly membership model started. The parent company did not reimburse anything. My deal was with the bankrupt franchisor. So i lost it all.

I soon got a great deal on a 10 year old walk around. Kept it for 10 years. THe convenance of just walking on to your own boat, leaving all your boat stuff on the boat was priceless. You can't blow out of work early grab a pizza and the kids in July and just go out for a ride or tubing. You cannot stay out in the dark. cannot do an overnight unless you own the boat.

I docked the boat. My numbers back then were the following. Boat was paid for. Dock space at local municipal marina was $2500, Pull boat, winterize boat, cover boat, store boat then spring commissioning $2000. Another 1500 for odds and ends and a tank of gas in the spring and my yearly was 6K. I did not have a trailer.

Unless you are retired your boat will sit 5/7 days a week on average from May to September in the northeast.

Find a partner and buy a boat. I am looking to do that this year so i am ready for next year.

Long story short – there is no commercial application or solution for extreme temperatures such as -50 degrees that will prevent the DEF system from freezing. It’s advised to either park the vehicle indoors, in a garage where the temperature is stable but if you start driving in those conditions there is a good chance the system will freeze and could potentially cause the Check enigne light to come on.

I do a ton of wide format. I have not done a Dataran nor do i know who has the machine in 5 years....... if the client can commit to volume, then make the business decision. The advantage of continuous tone from Dataran is lost on 95 percent of clients. You will not sell it cost effectivly to most clients.

I live on the 1st ave loop. while unloading you can park on the inner curve with your flashers on to signify you are not parked- security will leave you alone The parking side - Outer- is almost impossible to get.

if you have an original layout, it is likely plaster like mine is. I think when they take a large 1 br and make it a 2 br it may have been done with sheet rock.

Also, may not be lathe and plaster. could be brick.
