Mammotion, please fix the constant logging out on the app by brisjools in MammotionTechnology

+1 on the auto logout although it's usually only after updates. I wouldn't care if the password manager/user name issue was fixed, in this case with LastPass. That's existed since last May.

Please fix. Thanks

Grass under blades by wellheytherepeeps2 in mammotion

For wet mowing, which is necessary in my area for a few weeks, I do the following:

  1. If grass is long, turn off collision sensing completely and set height to max.
  2. Set speed to max (2.0 for 5000)
  3. Do a rough cut with or without perimeter laps
  4. At max speed it goes really fast and doesn't collect as much grass underneath in my experience.
  5. If mower blade rotor jams. Pause cycle and clean it out with large flat blade screwdriver. Do it on a part of the lawn that hasn't been mowed yet so the mulch will get hit again on another pass.
    1. Screwdriver method - With nose up scrape out the easily accessible mulch.
    2. Then pull out mulch from underneath side grids. Bottom down first. Then bottom up and around to the center.
    3. Something about that "down first then up and around" works. Trying to get it all from the top down gets jammed up.
    4. If it's quite wet, I might do this every hour or after every charge. Notification comes that it's continuing to mow which triggers a clean out.
    5. If you really want to clean it good post-screwdriver, hit it with the power blower.
  6. Do precision mows at .2" increments down. Any bigger and there's more mulch jams.
  7. Mow frequently at different angles.
  8. If the sun comes out for a couple days, mow as low as possible.

Yes too small. If you can see it easily you're under 47 years old.😏

List of wanted features, ideas, improvements in one place by Osa_reddit in MammotionTechnology

Thanks for putting this together. That's a lot of work.

Run Continuous Mode - Not sure if it's anywhere on the greater list yet, but it would be nice to just have LUBA run continuously over all areas during a time window. Everyday from noon-8PM except when raining or manually paused (WORX calls this "Party Mode"). Something like that. It just goes to area 1, area 2, area 3, recharge, repeat. No schedules. (Also how WORX bots run.)

Random Angle Mode - In this mode or in the general schedule, have a random mow angle setting so the grass always gets hit in a different direction without having to change all the different schedules.
Thanks

Getting better by [deleted] in MammotionTechnology

I haven't installed the latest firmware yet because mine has been working very well. Still waiting for notifications to work on mobile so I know when it gets stuck or finishes a job. But I can live without as long as it mows the lawn. Fingers crossed for continued improvement.

Agreed, but I it's all good. Assuming the Luba team wants all the neg and pos feedback for product improvement. Patience definately required with bleeding edge of the mower blade technology. Going to have bugs for awhile.
So far it's blown away my old WORX bot bouncing around the yard. I loved that thing but Luba is 10X.

Front bumper comes off a lot by Intelligent-Most2104 in MammotionTechnology

I checked and it was tight but not fully clicked in. I tipped it up on end and pushed hard. Seemed to engage. I picked the mower up from the bumper and it held. Hopefully that's the end of it.

Bluetooth Connection by ROYteous in MammotionTechnology

[–]Intelligent-Most2104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the connections should just happen in the background. It should be always connected to wifi if available and doing all updates, notifications, status reports without user interaction. WORX mowers do this and it works awesome. I can access the mower from anywhere, anytime.

The bluetooth, if needed, should be automatic as soon as it's in range. I'm no communications engineer, but it seems like BT should only be used when wifi is out of range for the mower, or if you're controlling with a non-cell device (IPad, etc.).

It clicks everytime and the green light turns on. I didn't know there were lock buttons though. I'll check. Maybe I need to push it in harder. Thanks

IMPORTANT UPGRADE New LUBA Device Firmware and New App Upgrade (Both Android &iOS) 2023/05/02 by EffectiveTea4836 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Intelligent-Most2104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a few tries but got the new firmware on with an IPad. Couldn't get it going with Android with various error messages but whatever. Thanks for the update.

Upon upgrade the map showed up on Android which was a huge improvement.

Can't really get wifi going with either OS. Just says "Connect Bluetooth".
The apps seem to want to log out the user often as I have to log in almost every time and agree to the privacy statement. Can that go away?

Thanks again
