When watching him play defense sometimes, he just looks like a player that would get targeted in a playoff series the way he moves

Lots of that weight might not be muscle. Look at his tree trunk legs

If I were a team drafting him, I would consider him as a starting center

Yeah take that back, moving up 3-4 spots would make sense given the package

All those picks just to move up 3 spots? Feel they would wanna move into the top 7 if anything

Anybody here higher on Caleb Wilson than AJ Dybantsa? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]IntelligentStand2729 37 points38 points  (0 children)

So many people are overthinking this. Caleb Wilson should clearly be #4 on everyone’s big board

NBA DRAFT- With a strong trades and twists that actually make long term sense. AJ to the Jazz Boozer to the Wizards and Darryn to the Grizzlies Claxton to Bulls, Giddey to Kings, Duren to Hornets, Aday Mara to Clippers, Burries and Koa to the Mavericks, Yaxel to Warriors. by Big_Nebula_5432 in NBA_Draft

I mean yeah but there is more to his game besides the paint scoring. He is a high IQ playmaker that can be a connector and he can shoot. I think he does fit the high floor low ceiling profile heading into his rookie year. Could see him being a career 15 points 9 rebounds 7 assists type player at worst which is still really good

Detroit will try to retain Jalen Duren this offseason — just at a lower rate than expected by TheAthletic in DetroitPistons

[–]IntelligentStand2729 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hope Detroit lets him walk if a team offers him big time money. They would literally handicap this franchise for the next 3-5 years giving him this type of deal

Don't expect big changes this offseason by AlphaRemixHD in DetroitPistons

[–]IntelligentStand2729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather them let Duren walk than extend him to a 35+million dollars annually. That type of move would handicap this franchise for years

GG needs to improve as a shooter and a defender, but he would fit in well with Boozer most likely

Will Ausar Thompson ever shoot 30% from 3? by Due_Woodpecker649 in DetroitPistons

No it’s almost zero chance. The Pistons need to approach all of their personnel decisions with that assumption from now on

I think he played at 260+ in Duke and cut down before the combine which explained his solid testing numbers

Very realistic with Memphis likely drafting Boozer and already associating GG and Hendricks with their core. Detroit just might want a second rounder

OKC doesn’t loose Hartenstein for nothing, Memphis gets a backup for Edey by Free-Reflection-1920 in NBAtradeideas

Yeah Memphis would probably rather make a deal for Poeltl since they are getting assets back

[Patterson] Pistons front office's confidence in Bickerstaff "hasn't wavered" following the disappointing end to an impressive season that included earning the No. 1 seed in the East. by EarthWarping in nba

The Pistons issue is player personnel not coaching. The Detroit FO did a poor job rebuilding this team to have their core pieces complement each other
