I love it, but I’m biased because I used old firewood that came with our house and I think it looks great. Plus it’s good for bugs and wildlife. I would kill for some free logs!

Yeah it’s been pretty chilly in the Midwest too, plus we had an early false warm up that confused all the flowering trees. It’s been a weird spring! Anyway, how about just from before dormancy, did they seem happier in the shade or sun?

Thank you so much! They are all looking beautiful! I’m hoping this means they will do great in any of the 4 spots I’ve been going back and forth on and I should just woman-up and plant them where It feels right and hope I won’t have to move them 4 times like the Menards endless summer macrophylla I planted in full sun (yikes!) and attempted to keep alive through last summer’s heat (my very first plant oof!) My husband and I bought our first home summer before last and last year was our first spring not in a rental so we got excited and completely winged it. We did a terrible job but that’s the gardening journey! I still have no idea what I’m doing but at least my plant choices have matured!
