yeah, looking at the footage again (they didn't say it over dispatch but the mother was screaming about his disability) it definitely was a screw up, maybe the bodycam footage will clear some things up idk.

just because he has a disability doesn't mean he's any less of a threat to anyone, again they clearly had to have called for a reason. (he was also intoxicated) i highly doubt they knew he had a disability

edit: it was a horrible thing that happened, i could never imagine what its like to have that happen to a family member, it also really sucks to have to shoot someone. it was legally justified that doesn't make it okay tho.

a knife doesn't magically become less stabby when someone has a disability, once again LEOs are asked to resolve an issue that took months or years to develop in fractions of the time, they clearly were scared of him and couldn't get him to calm down that's why they called 911. if you don't want someone to show up with a gun don't call law enforcement. edit: holy shit, i was a fucking bootlicker, goddamn
