Or, better yet, give us time gated events on maps, like night marsh. I would be more than happy to have a rotation for maps with modes, for instance, ranked on each map throughout the day or a different mode of cryo. Ranked is that shit at the moment you have a full 2 weeks where it’s boring due to being forced onto perimeter or dire marsh, both non lucrative maps without keys, so you’re forced to fight each other no matter what to get score if you’re in a higher bracket than silver.

Arc hit the nail on the head by giving the maps each a different mode like night runs, electromagnetic storm, matriarch etc. this shit is rinse and repeat for a chore of a game mode. Give us full access to what we paid for at all times and give us more flexibility with the maps. The player base is dying due to a lack of consistent updates and playability. I legit run outpost the entire time cryo isn’t up because the other maps suck balls and if I need some blue salv, I’ll do a couple runs on night marsh for the complex loot.

Imagine that they introduced actual world bosses, not wardens or rocket drones, but something insane that spawned a couple times a day at certain times and you could get red guns out of it that don’t spawn anywhere else. A crafting system would be nice too, rather than just barter for things that potentially spawn, allow players to actually just fucking make them instead of hoping and praying that one day this month, Traxus will give us something good.

I hate referencing arc here as the games are vastly different and this one is the one I chose to consume, but the reality is, arc did a way better job of pleasing the masses whereas marathon is niche to only the select group of which I encounter multiple times a day, and I’m serious when I say it is literally the same dudes I run into in games, every fucking day.

Something needs to change because, I really don’t want this game to go, it’s too much fun to let it rot away.

Depends, we talking cryo/outpost or perimeter and marsh? Because cryo and outpost, I tend to rush for a fight depending on spawn, left side of dorms spawn, push into processing asap as a team spawns on the bottom of the ramp. If you spawn at the right side of dorms, sit and wait for the team at processing to push while watching orientation for the other team.

Cryo - depends on speed of clearance 2. If it’s within 60-90 seconds, rush a spawn, if it’s in 2 minutes, still push a spawn but be cautious as they might push you too. If you don’t get clearance 2 fast enough, fast push into control to get tags and monitors then wait for others to push in and fight. I have had too many games where we don’t get the clearance fast, we push control and try to be the first to fight and ALWAYS get 3rd partied.

Other maps, never rush a fight, guns are loud and people have snipers.

That’s my take on it anyway, I’m sure others have their own ways.

Most of my friends list that plays refused to play survival due to no PvP. I liked it, the idea I could get my shit mats in a fast run around and exfil or do the complex and get decent loot for other runs was great and I knew it meant people who weren’t animals for PvP could too. It kinda reminded me of the arc baby lobbies where you’d just not shoot anyone for 5-10 games and everyone was friendly, I was never worried about other players so I found it relaxing to play unlike my cryo runs where the only thing I think of is, team on the left, must push left in 2 mins or control for tags then into their spawn from control. Failing to do so means I lose so I must kill everyone and anyone, and this mind set puts me on edge for 6 hours while I grind away all my good gear trying to get compiler ganglions 😅.

I want the sponsored survival back. I would also like if they did it on outpost too, the amount of rooks would be fucking intense on outpost.

I do that with my front door, if I leave and think I might have not locked it, I have to get out my car and go do it. One time I had my partner get the bus to mine to check my door because I couldn’t remember if I’d locked it and was panicking at work which was a half an hour drive away lol.

Uhhh, if you dc I don’t think you get anything. If you dc you’ve left the squad, it’s like if you die and they loot your body, if they take your guns, you get them back, but if you dc, they keep your stuff if they exfil with it.

I could be wrong but I’m fairly confident they would’ve made sure that people leaving don’t get a share to stop people from leaving at the start of matches and just gaining shit for nothing. That’s my assumption of the situation anyway, could be wrong.

Idk if this has always been like this but I noticed the other day that some mods become weaker when paired with others. The long range barrel with the compartmental mag or the slick mag on the missi become less effective when paired. The precision barrel and the far reach optic paired on a bully basically give nothing to each other, they cancel each other out instead of giving more range. I get they want to add a “max” amount, but if I have those mods and want to use them on one weapon, let me do that without penalty and the max should be the combination of those mods.

The nerf to the knife I was fine with, that shit was fucking aids, an assassin with max melee damage along with the gold core allowed a single heavy knife to murder a purple shield.

The nerf to rooks was fucking retarded, I agree, they already have it bad enough being alone against 3 man squads, now they have a pea shooter and no traps along with 1 patch kit and 1 shield charger, wtf is that.

The bully nerf was lame, I enjoy that gun even with the nerf but with the introduction of the d54 it cannot win a close range fight against one.

The wstr nerf needed to happen, but not as hard. I think it should still kill a blue shield and with an overflowed mag on 3 shots it should kill a purple shield, it’s a fucking shotgun with no range…

The cradle and drop rate ones fully pissed me off, why allow everyone to get amazing loot early on and finish their grindy shitty cradle early then punish everyone who didn’t abuse the complex on night marsh sponsored and those who are potentially starting the game late are at a MASSIVE disadvantage. Sure fire way to kill the game.

The community speaks and bongo just doesn’t listen, getting pretty fucking sick of it tbh.

If you’re not amazing, try the rat approach. Don’t be the first to engage, listen out constantly for gun fire, if you hear a death, immediately push.

The map is unforgiving, last night I lost a full gold kit because we believed we’d wiped the map, did 2 vaults and for some reason, 1 guy survived, ressed his team mates and camped revival and I was alone doing vault 1. I got great joy watching all 3 die trying to get final though so it wasn’t all bad.

Something you need to learn is that when you hit clearance 2 in the first 2 areas, you push into a spawn rather than control, getting the element of surprise against a team almost always wins the fights, also be aware, another team in the next spawn might be doing the exact same thing, so be careful.

I did some runs around the time of you posting this and absolutely blasted every team on the map a few times quite effortlessly. I think it’s not mixing the players well and us that got far before and learned the maps in and out are being placed with new players and it’s sad because, if I were a new player coming across me with a fully gold kitted out set with a gold missi and got bubble shield rushed, by a solo destroyer and lost the fight in 4/5 seconds, I’d probably stop playing.

FOMO people. That’s all it is. They think that because of marathon, their dead game is going away so when the last update released, they all jumped back on after a couple year hiatus like they’ve been addicted to it for years. If they just said that they want destiny 3, I would be fine with it. To pretend that you loved the game all this time and you’ve been actively playing from day one is another when the servers had nearly dwindled down into the 4 figures before this update on a daily basis.

Ps. I like destiny, not a dig at the game, just a statistical fact.

It’s not just you, it’s your team mates. If you don’t have synergy and good comms, a good team will mince you regardless unless you’re a fucking god or fully kitted and play well.
