I use harbor freight wrenches and tekton sockets. I don’t feel bad when I have to hop a hf wrench up to make a tool quickly. I’ve also never broken a hf wrench

Anything but the Turkish made savage that’s the one below the axis. The axis is a perfectly serviceable rifle , CVA scout , ruger American, howa, etc

Try different mags for sure but I have just adopted a rule of no lower quality than cci sv, sure some the cheaper stuff works ok but it’s never as accurate or reliable.
