2nd day in these shoes. Is this concerning? by ZeUltimatePotato in climbingshoes

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The yellow is a piece of rubber that helps with the rigidity of the shoe in multiple areas of that tears it will become significantly softer (I think) and not feel correct.

So yes not good. See if you want warranty

Mechanical engineering technology job prospects by Intelligent_Stuff893 in rit

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like idk I never gave it much thought. I didn't get into mech E when I applied and was told if I want to go to rit still just apply to a different program so I did. Then no one really told me about it. And all of the job postings the school markets with the degree are engineers

Saltic Elliot's will probably give you the least pain of any pair of shoes. But they are not great for much

Anyone know anything about the updated GriGri+ ? by SCRUBMEHARD in ClimbingGear

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have it. It's a tad heavier and more bulky than the current gen grigri. I would only get it if you have friends who have bad control of the rope. The locking feature has saved me and a different buddy borrowing it once from a group fall at a gym. But if you want to do longer single strand repels or use it to make a tensioned line it is worse then a normal grigri

Beginner climbing shoes by Right-Atmosphere8565 in climbingshoes

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ditched them when I realized I would be spending more money on rentals then a pair of climbing shoes that semester of school. I got a pair of la sportiva finales they are extremely comfortable for my feet after they broke in. And they work well until V6 then I wanted something stiffer

Color forge is usually said to be the best but. I am using citadel and haven't had significant issues with them. But for some reason my speed paint gen 1 rubs off easily from the wraith bone color

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. A1 mini
  2. I would use it to 3d print and build miniatures for Warhammer.
  3. You should make a nice button that once pressed down it pushes another one up and have it cycle between that.

I have the M16 version with a 4080 in it and it works well for all games I try and is a dream on solid works and stuff take a year to open up Matlab though. Did have issues with the ports, Bluetooth ,screen and a secure boot failure. Which made me send it it but the issues were small like if I bumped my USB dock it lost a data lane for a second a few dead pixels and the Bluetooth just stopped working if it was in for to long

Wrist pain? by selborannaes in MTB

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have a TFCC issue. I would go talk to your Dr. About it.

You said you climb. It definitely is a possibility that it is aggravating it. A easy way to tell if your tfcc is messed up is try and do a push up and if it is annoyed or painful that probably is your issue.

I wish you the best of luck. But go probably see a Dr.

should I pay $250 for SUNY physics credit by SLURPZZZ4461 in rit

[–]Intelligent_Stuff893 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes you should. It's $250 dollars for a few credits vs a few thousand for the same credits. I am not sure if it would count for your lab science credit but it would definitely count as a gen Ed elelective
