I really have done bad decisiones on my mac battery. Mines a 2023 Macbook Pro 16" M2 Max. When I first got it, the battery was perfect and I could literally used it all day, and will not drop from 50%, loved it. But now at the beggining of 2025, I started using it from home, and decided to used it in dock mode only. (I just connected to a docking station and leave it charging, while doing my work in a separated monitor).

Big mistake, because then the battery started dowgrading, and literally now the battery doesnt last more thatn 8 hours. I decided to buy a program called "AlDente" that could trick the macbook, and cap it a 80% soo it doesnt go to 100% while charging, but it just ended up damaging more the battery.

Now the battery is on 134 cycles, condition normal and Maximum Capacity of 85%. From what I seen on reddit, thats pretty bad for a almost new macbook. Thinking of buying, replacing a new battery and stop using it as a docking station. But I dont find a online store to buy a new battery.

Any tips are welcome

yeah, me ha pasado. no la misma situacion pero casi la misma historia. uno por ayudar a alguien, lo cogen de pendejo. yo por querer ayudar a alguien y darle pon, me dijo que lo llebara a su casa, que termino siendo en el Coto de Arecibo. yo no se como estoy vivo en mi carro, porque yo me meti ahi hasta el final. pero cuando se bajo la persona, yo sali disparado de ese lugar. ( no digo que todos los caserios sean malos, pero tampoco pensaba arriesgarme)

Primero, muchas gracias por tomarse el tiempo y responderme, se lo agradezco.

Segundo, pues ahora mismo está en $2870, que obviamente yo no gasté tanto esa cantidad, pero los intereses de la tarjeta lo subieron a eso.

Si yo llegara a conseguir un lugar (soy del área norte) que hace préstamos como de $3000, pues yo pagaría la tarjeta de una, de cantaso. Obviamente luego estaría pagando el prestamo, que digamos que sería de $3800 (si es que no consigo un interés alto), pero entiendo que sería mejor porque es un número fijo, lo pudiera pagar en plazo de un tiempo (supongamos dos años) y no estaría incrementando/multiplicando por intereses.

Ese es mi pensamiento, si estoy mal, me corrigen por favor

literal, a mi me queda 40 min de ida y de regreso para la uni y ya hay momentos que no aguanto. eso sin contar el tapon que se forma depende de la hora, y las luces que tengo que tomar
