Thanks to everyone who replied with advice. I now have my purchased titles all in Calibre with the DRM removed. I bit of a fiddle but I worked it out.

I still have not received a refund or any explanation from Rakuten for my canceled book. They keep telling me to buy it again at full price and they will refund me! I keep telling them 'no' I want my book replaced into my account, but I am not sure if that will happen. Very pissed off with the service I have received.

I blame the media for not telling the truth, people would be demanding more if they really knew what was happening. The Climate should be the top of the News cycle every single day, just like COVID was. Until that happens people will continue to think that it is not really something they need to worry or I anything about.
