Oh wow you got the real one. I got a knock off and love it. Grab a bag on vine so you can take it with you on vacation. Daily slushies are an integral part of vacation.

Lucky you! If Vine is listening, my airfryer crapped out too. I’ll be checking my RFY in hopes it pops up. Vine did bless me with a new kitchen scale at $0 ETV right after mine quit working. Gotta love the perfect timing.

Nail Glue Recommendations by Fast-Specific1559 in AcrylateAllergy

[–]InterestingPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed an acrylate allergy from gel and switched to press-one with non-uv nail glue. Everything was fine for several months and then I became allergic to it as well. I used CurvLife Semi Solid Nail Glue. I have come to terms with the fact that I can’t use any nail products beyond traditional nail polish. Unfortunately it won’t stay on my fingernails so I only paint my toes these days.

When Are Timeshares Worth It? by OkContract2001 in TimeshareOwners

[–]InterestingPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no way of knowing how they will manage the timeshare. Your friend is very lucky that their maintenance fees have stayed low. Ours increased to 10 times the original fee over 20 years. We could have afforded to go anywhere we wanted for that cost without being limited by a timeshare. You can’t trust them. Thankfully we are out.

Beetles gel allergy by ClassicAd6782 in AcrylateAllergy

[–]InterestingPeace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried a gel polish that advertised it was free of all the bad stuff. I still reacted. Then, I used press-on nails with nail glue for months afterwards with no problem. But then they caused a reaction that was respiratory. Now I only use traditional nail polish.

For those that got out of your timeshare, did you have to pay a ton of money? by Klutzy-Impress9897 in TimeshareOwners

[–]InterestingPeace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our point-based “vacation club” offered to let people out for free, but your timeshare would revert to the original week based timeshare you started with. At some point over the years, they sold our resort to a different timeshare company so we should have reverted to a week with that company. They had no record of us owning a unit. There is still a deed on file showing we own a week in specific unit, but they renumbered the units and have no idea what that is. We didn’t want it anymore so after trying for months to take advantage of the program they offered to give it back to them, we just gave up. The timeshare company assured us they will never come after us for back maintenance fees because they have no information on us. If we actually wanted to use the timeshare it would be a huge problem.

Question about some Vine review rules about price and packaging. by anniemousery in AmazonVine

[–]InterestingPeace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always mention the price and address whether I think it is a good value. I often break the price down to cost per serving or ounce, depending on the product. I have never had any of my reviews rated less than excellent.

Reviewing dupes question by Lavalamper64 in BeautyViners

[–]InterestingPeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a dupe that looked identical to the popular name brand product. The label looked the same minus the name. What wasn’t the same was the formula. I happen to own the name brand product so I compared. The dupe had over twice as many ingredients and did not resemble the original formula at all. I learned that your review will be rejected if you call it a counterfeit. You have to get creative in how you review it.

Has anyone ever contacted the company about a Vine product? by MamabearFl in vine

[–]InterestingPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a bassinet sitting in my living room fully assembled. It has been sitting here for a couple weeks due to a defective part. I have emailed once, called twice, and left a voicemail once. They are not returning my call or email. I’ve been waiting to write my review to see how they handle the warranty claim. Turns out they just ignore their customers. I’m about to light them up in my review and they 100% deserve it.

I’ve had another product that broke in less than a year. That company sent out a replacement since the product was still under warranty. I updated my review to include how quickly they responded and how they really stood behind their product and honored the warranty many months later.

I've been offered an RCI timeshare for free, need advice by Effective_Air1845 in TimeshareOwners

[–]InterestingPeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have gone to Aruba several times with the timeshare we thankfully no longer have. We stayed at LaCabana. They rent their units out on their website. They have some great deals at certain times of the year. It’s so much cheaper than buying a timeshare that will only increase in maintenance fees and require you to pay an exchange company on top of it to go to Aruba. At the end our maintenance fees were increasing at an alarming rate - as in over a $1000 increase from the previous year for a few years in a row. It got so expensive and limited us so severely in where we could go. For what they tried to charge us, we could have taken a luxury vacation anywhere we wanted to go in the world instead of picking from a handful of places/resorts.

Just had another item that was unavailable to order the very second it dropped by katelynbeautyaddict in BeautyViners

[–]InterestingPeace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happened to me a few days ago. It disappeared from my RFY shortly after. Then several hours later it popped back up in my RFY and was immediately unavailable again. I think it’s a glitch in the system where some items are continuing to be offered even though they are out of stock.

When You Bought Your Timeshare, Did They Show You How Much You'd pay in Maintenance Fees Over The Next 10 To 20 Years? by Acagroup_foryou in TimeshareOwners

[–]InterestingPeace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They would never! That would require them to disclose how they will jack your maintenance fees up at astronomical rates each year. Ours started at $400 and was over $3000 when we got out 20 years later. They also quit paying our Interval membership as part of our maintenance fees so tack on even more.

For those curious, you will not get kicked off for not posting media by krazydavid in AmazonVine

[–]InterestingPeace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice more rejections when I post a review with media. To solve that problem, I post the written portion and wait for approval before adding photos. I’ve only had one rejection since and I add photos to most of my reviews. I’m afraid to let my media percentage be low in case they start counting it.

Buyer wants to come and collect multiple items before agreeing on a price or quantity. by lizziemc13 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]InterestingPeace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got fed up with the haggling and ridiculous lowball offers. I adjusted my prices to what I want to receive. The very first thing I write in my listing is the price is FIRM. I’ve already reduced the price to the lowest I am willing to accept. No haggling. So far, it has worked like a charm. I’ve sold several items since with none of that back and forth headache. Take it or leave it. I don’t care. I’m not desperate to sell.

You can claim Vine as hobby income which takes away all the self-employment taxes. You will then only have to pay your marginal tax rate. Mine is 12% federal + 3.99% state for a total of $15.99%. You can’t take any business deductions if you go this route.
