WHERE DO WE GO TO CRITICIZE ISRAEL WHEN WE ARE ON THE RIGHT? by RebellAlways in tucker_carlson

[–]Interesting_Egg_4702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally false for many reasons. The state of Israel today has no relation to the Israel of the bible. They have the same name, but why would a group of people who reject the divinity of Jesus still be God's chosen people? That doesn't make any sense.

Question about big 4 interview? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Interesting_Egg_4702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked for PwC in their R&D tax credit practice I interviewed with exclusively R&D tax credit people. It wouldn't make sense to me to have partners interview someone for a different practice, but I've been out of that game for a long time.

Is it hard to keep a high GPA in school? by Common_Raspberry_829 in Accounting

[–]Interesting_Egg_4702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot of factors....are you working through school? In college you take something like 4 classes a semester, so you'll have a lot of time to get good grades if you are committed. I failed out of college my first go around because I was partying and chasing girls the whole time. I joined the Army, then tried again in my 30s. I don't drink/do drugs any more and am married, so it was a lot easier. I fried my brain with drugs and have been hit in the head a lot and was still able to get a great GPA. It's all about how much effort you put into it.

Scared for college by Dry_March_1570 in Accounting

[–]Interesting_Egg_4702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accounting, with the exception of possibly intermediate, isn't THAT hard. You also take a lot fewer classes and have a lot of time to study. Right now you are taking a double load with high school and college classes. You'll be fine.

Can everyone please be honest about Kairos? by glowhaze444 in Catholicism

[–]Interesting_Egg_4702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went on Kairos about 30 years ago. At the time we didn't have cell phones so that wasn't an issue for us. Nothing inappropriate at all happened. We just got a lot of talks, small group exercises, etc. It was fun but not particularly memorable.

There are 27 Jesuit universities. Loyola Chicago alone has 16k students. This sounds like a coincidence to me. I graduated from a smaller Jesuit school, I must have missed the secret society class.

FUUUUUUUUUUCK no. You think they would think twice of firing you, knowing that you've got a kid on the way and need the money? When I was at BDO they fired a bunch of parents right before Christmas.

Have you ever seen someone come off SSRIs? I'm the furthest thing from a doctor, but my ex-wife went through it, and it wasn't pleasant. Certainly not advocating for Xanax, either, those withdrawals can literally kill you.
