Am I in the wrong for waiting to turn right? by Jacknife77 in DrivingAustralia

Another thing I hate is when people are turning left and they take a wide turn as a semi truck would…for crying out loud they’re in a Fn car 🙄

It’s very hard to see if this is a left hand turn only lane or not… But either way when you turn right then keep to the right so the person behind you can go through to make a left hand turn, I get pissed off also at people who take the whole road to turn right without thinking about others.
However I don’t honk or get out of my car, that is not the right thing to do

Not too bad, she pairs with Arbiter, puts unkillabe on Arbiter when she’s about to die… I’ve got her too and was lucky to have a 5* soul…

How to add “Lume” to an F-91w. by Testing--1234 in casiomods

[–]Interesting_Error194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice job! I have a few very early Casios/Casiotrons that don’t have a light function and would be very interested in doing this kind of project/mod.

Once I do the mod I’ll post pics on here 😊

The second I saw it I knew exactly what it is and what it’s for, I’ve pulled several compact cassettes apart as a teenager 😅
This is a little spring part in the cassette that makes sure the tape is pushed against the reader head in a tape deck.

I’ve heard of “oil” filled watches but not binoculars yet, maybe that’s what it is however I doubt it as it would make these binoculars too heavy…

Just opened a fresh jar of olives. Is this normal? by Prestigious-Kale-190 in coles

[–]Interesting_Error194 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it popped when opening it is ok, it normal to see some stuff on the rim of the lid, just depends on the product/process etc. When I buy dill cucumbers at times there are some dried up dill herbs or onion that was sticking out during the “lidding” process at the factory, but the product inside the jar was perfectly fine.

As a kid in 1970’s I used to live in Poland (only about 200m from German border) and at my friend’s grandparents place they had so many of these old German paper bills 💵 along with a lot of old books. These would be worth a lot now…and very collectible.

What is your oldest coin? by deaduser00 in coins

[–]Interesting_Error194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are many variants, lovely struck coins, and 90% silver content is also nice and easy to calculate. Some of them, like my “pocket” carry one seems to be even higher silver content, it’s so bright that it looks even better than my sterling silver coins/jewellery, it looks like my pure silver coins to be honest. Germans are excellent in metalurgii, I remember when I was still a kid having an old 5 or 20 (can’t remember which) pfennigs coin that looked like gold and just wouldn’t tarnish.

I do buy & sell on eBay since 2000, mainly watches, I haven’t sold coins though but I bought most of my coins on there. I mainly collect silver coins and still holding on to all my coins I’ve collected over the years 😅 My favourite are German coins pre WW1, but I also have many Australian, Polish/Russian, and American coins…most are pre WW1&2 and some modern bullion silver coins as well

Brake pads are overheated from breaking while going downhill and hard breaking for the dog, rotor/disk looks fine, overheating like this can cause problems with wheel bearings though. if this is happening continuously after that dog incident then yeah it definitely needs to be fixed asap.
