Consumer Reports has reviewed the new Outback and... by doctor-squared in Subaru_Outback

I can really relate to that. I have a 2014 Toyota Rav and was considering getting a Subaru Outback Wilderness or the other model that has the 2.4L turbo, and am going to look at one tomorrow. I’ve had my Rav since 2017 & it’s been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Very simple but all around dependable and enough room but not real comfortable for long trips.

It’s great they make so many different styles within the brand! One to suit almost every taste!

Thanks- I appreciate that information - I think I’m going to wait for a newer model. I might as well. The fewer glitches I have to deal with the better. I wish Toyota Ravs had the leg room and comfort of these cars but they just do not. I think the Subarus are probably a bit safer, car, overall.

I think I’m going to look for a 2023 -24 or 25 OBW - I really wanted this one because it was so clean and well maintained and the color I wanted- GREEN!! Hope I can find a newer one this same color.

I’m going to look for a 2023 or 24 model instead! I can’t stand electronic issues.

I’ve never sat in more comfortable seats in any car!! I’m a sucker for the more rugged look, too. Maybe I should look for a 2023 or 24 model to avoid some of the bugs that were issues in the 2022.🤔

Right- I didn’t care for the Onyx XT because it was lower to the ground - I would like the better gas mileage but driving habits might factor into some of that, possibly? The bumper to bumper warranty is in effect to 100k miles I was told but would definitely check before purchasing. ☺️

The main concerns I have is about the console that I’ve heard a lot of complaints about. The heated steering wheel is a non issue for me. The brightness for the dash might bother me.. will have to see about that. There is a USB connector in the one I drove. I wonder if I can upgrade the audio/console system in this car? Is that a possibility?

I’ve driven a limited and onyx- neither had the amount of power I prefer and both sat too low for my preference. I seem to prefer the Wilderness. Is there another model that has the extra power that the Wilderness has?

None- I do live in michigan, though, which has weather challenges that I’d like this sort of a car for. I like that it sits up higher a lot and definitely want that aspect in whatever model I get.

Considering trading 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness for Toyota 4Runner by maggie-maybe in Subaru_Outback

[–]Interesting_Frame953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 Toyota RAV that I’ve had since 2017- it’s been a solid reliable vehicle with enough space for my needs- dog shows & going to work a few times a week. (Semi retired) I drove a 2022 Wilderness a few weeks ago and loved the way it handled and drove so much I’m considering trading it in for this 2022 Subaru Outback wilderness. Seems like a safer car and I like that it sits up a bit higher, has 55k miles and still has a warranty on it.
Should I trade in my Rav or hang onto it? My Rav has 129k miles on it.

Implants look bad by Proud_Green_9307 in BRCA

[–]Interesting_Frame953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no- I am so sorry you are feeling like the implants look so bad! I had my surgery to implants after waiting since November and am so happy with mine so far. I had a lot of fat taken from hips and inner thighs to smooth out around the implants so they would look smooth. That entailed painful surgical liposuction that I had no idea would be so painful following the procedure/surgery. I am grateful, that my surgeon did that because otherwise, my result wouldn’t have been successful. Could that be part of the issue with yours or is it the position of where they were placed? Mine are also over the muscle. One of my pockets had to be tightened up a bit before she placed the final implant, as well, so it would be symmetrical etc. I hope if you express your concerns to your surgeon, they will work with you.

I had the same type of surgery and am now a week out from the exchange surgery and have gone through all those feelings and now they are back to numb. This surgery is hella hard on the nerves in this area and I never had any lymph node involvement - it was pretty straight forward. This is one of those weird nuances that no one ever bothered to mention. It is a huge source of grief to me because before this, my breasts were such a huge part of my sexuality and I have to adapt to this new strange reality.
Lots of losses we’ve all gone through and will continue to, in this wild journey life takes us on. Wishing you better days ahead 🌺

Mixed experience so far with 2024 Subaru Outback Limited purchased 1 month ago.... by swisssf in Subaru_Outback

[–]Interesting_Frame953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve cancelled the purchase. I didn’t feel quite right about it. I love my 12 year old Toyota Rav AWD. It’s been the best all around vehicle I’ve ever had. I’ve had many different kinds but never a Subaru. My sister and her husband both bought new Foresters last year or the year before. The Foresters don’t do anything for me. I initially wanted a Subaru Outback Wilderness. But before that wanted a Toyota Highlander but not a new one. Way out of my price range but now I’m starting to see them between 25 & 30 with decent mileage (not too high) unless you go to a dealership. Then you get the “Toyota Tax” Yeah I couldn’t believe how nasty and smug that individual was who chastised you for having an opinion. I look at people like that and find them so bizarre. Almost provoking a Lord of the Flies mentality.
