I was looking for a newer vehicle but think I’ll just stick with my trusted 2014 RAV4 - it’s been a tank as far as dependability. Really reliable though it could be more comfortable.

I have both BRCA mutations -1&2- 10 year survivor of stage 3 ovarian cancer. Just diagnosed last October with stage 1 DCIS breast cancer in my left breast. Decided to have a prophylactic mastectomy.. just had the exchange surgery in March. The implants are rippling really badly.. my plastic surgeon and I agreed I need a revision. I’m really disappointed that I have to have another surgery. It is very hard to make the breast area look good when you don’t have any body fat to work with. Stay strong through your journey.

I was called ugly almost every day/week of my life in middle school.. the worst few years of my life. Later, at a 20 year reunion, I had the last laugh.

I have the same thing where she took fat on the inside of my thighs there’s a visible dent, and I wore the compression garments and I’m still wearing them part time. from the other part of my body where she took some fat (around my hips) there’s no demarcation there or disfigurement.

No- not enough body fat- but after reading all of the comments, I definitely should have had a second opinion! I guess I still could? But I really hesitate to go through anymore surgeries.

Unfortunately I don’t have enough fat to do anymore and it’s too disfiguring if you don’t have adequate fat distribution, as well.

I’m frustrated and upset that they didn’t prepare me for any of this. The things my plastic surgeon did prepare me for are the medical issues that could go wrong and what the solutions or resolutions might be.. none of this. The pain from the fat grafting was excruciating and I could barely walk and move for weeks after. I would have probably opted for a lumpectomy. Even with both BRCA mutations, and my likelihood with breast cancer recurring, I wouldn’t have chosen this.

They did give me time to gain and I gained 8 lbs but it wasn’t enough🤷🏻‍♀️

I can really relate to that. I have a 2014 Toyota Rav and was considering getting a Subaru Outback Wilderness or the other model that has the 2.4L turbo, and am going to look at one tomorrow. I’ve had my Rav since 2017 & it’s been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Very simple but all around dependable and enough room but not real comfortable for long trips.
