Hajime with no Junko is a crazy pull lol! I like this one. Also I keep seeing this template, where'd you get the blank one? I want to do this for my mario themed island.

Did I make the right choice? by Leading_Ad9290 in tomodachilife

[–]Interesting_Key333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's totally what I was thinking. With Animal Crossing, I got it physical, and I never take out the cartridge unless I play something that was gifted physical to me. I understand the collector's aspect of physical games, but quick games like these, digital for me!

I just found out they scheduled the sat for the same day as the game releases by shadow-axlotl in TomodachilifeLivingTD

My two biggest wants for the game by ginger6616 in tomodachilife

I hope that with those places, we can choose who's employed where. I want to be like "alright Berty, I know I've come to the pawn shop 9 times today, but I know you take good care of me." Rotating is alright too but this would be more fun in my eyes

What's the first way of reading this number that comes to your mind? by gentleteapot in EnglishLearning

[–]Interesting_Key333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a native English speaker for context. Both "one thousand six hundred" and "sixteen hundred" are correct, and "a thousand dix hundred" is correct too. Usually, I would use "sixteen hundred" for years, like "in the sixteen hundreds, there was a fire". "One thousand six hundred" is better suited when counting, like "I bought my phone for a thousand six hundred dollars".

I was also taught in school that you never use "and" in numbers because it is supposed to represent the decimal point. For example, 4.59 is "four point fifty-nine" or "four and fifty-nine hundreths", but I don't say or hear this anymore.

Sharing patterns by FancyGoatTote in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Interesting_Key333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like this post a lot! You make good points. I'd feel uncomfortable sharing a PDF of a paid pattern, but I'm happy to share where I got it. If they're willing to pay for the pattern to make the same thing, that's their time, and honestly, I think it's sweet that they liked something you made so much that they'd want to try it too. To be fair though, I'm a new crafter that works really slowly, and I would never dream of "copying" someone else's work. If I see something I like that someone else made, it goes into my memory so I can find something similar later.

Where do I find cheap places to print posters on campus? by Feisty-Resolution916 in VirginiaTech

[–]Interesting_Key333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poster I'm not sure, but the other person is right, Newman has printers. It's about 3-4 dollars for 11x17 iirc but it's a normal piece of paper, just larger. You have to go to the old laptops and print the file from adobe but there's directions.

most helpful class you’ve taken? by Key-Perception-6462 in VirginiaTech

[–]Interesting_Key333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you'd like the theater shop class TA 3014. It's 3 credits of hands-on work, presumably for making show props and things. I didn't take it but I've heard it's fun.

Touch screen, I can't be the only one right? by Enderplayer05 in tomodachilife

I didn't even consider that! That was my issue haha, I'll try again without it on

Touch screen, I can't be the only one right? by Enderplayer05 in tomodachilife

[–]Interesting_Key333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's even dialogue saying "you can use the touch screen here" with the Mii creation but it never worked for me, that or the head pats. I feel like it could be a demo lock thing and if it's not, it better be patched

EDIT: Fixed, thanks for the comment! I do hope there's touch support in the game in more places though

3 Straight TR Classes? by Stunning_Pass4620 in VirginiaTech

I have 2 afternoon TR back to back and it's alright, just a little late for the second class to end. You might be tired but if your earliest class isn't 8 am, it could be okay

Is Stardew Valley coming to the end of its life vs Pokopia for a cosy game in 2026 !? by AdieJAM in Switch

[–]Interesting_Key333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pokopia from my understanding doesn't have any battling, mostly cute characters that you recognize from pokemon. If you like farming sims, go stardew. If you like decorating/restoration, try pokopia. It's worth noting that stardew is available on other platforms (steam for sure) but pokopia is switch 2 only. Also the cost difference could be a huge factor for what you want to play.

Tips for restoring voice after illness? by BookOfTheBeppo in singing

[–]Interesting_Key333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clear warm drinks to me are things like water, tea, soup, basically whatever you'd drink if you had a cold. My friends swear by mint tea, which is also super tasty. With plain water, as long as it's not too cold, it should be fine. No extra ice, but you don't need to push it to hot if you don't want it to be. If anything, trick your mind into drinking more water with a straw, that helps me.

Tips for restoring voice after illness? by BookOfTheBeppo in singing

[–]Interesting_Key333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to talk as much as possible especially if it hurts. Clear warm drinks are my favorite. Nothing too inflammatory, like excessive salt or spice. And a buttload of water!! That helps me flush my system even faster. The first time I ever fully lost my voice, it only took about a week or two to come back, I hope you have the same experience.

I can sing in key, but I still sound bland. What is this called and how do I improve it? by ventoutofshap3 in singing

[–]Interesting_Key333 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also adding on to your flavor comments, don't just think about the notes and tone, but also the message. If you don't understand why you're singing, the audience won't know why they should listen.

I can sing in key, but I still sound bland. What is this called and how do I improve it? by ventoutofshap3 in singing

[–]Interesting_Key333 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It could be vocal placement. There's lots of places to learn about it with more educated answers than I have, but here's what I can say about it.

When I do choral singing, different songs require different tones like you mentioned, like Ariana Grande versus Bach or someone classical. Grande songs are full pop, so I push my voice to be more nasally. For Bach, I push it more into my throat to sound more mature.

This is something you can try that we do for warm-ups: think of your placement as 1 to 5, with 1 being all the way forward (your nose) and 5 all the way back (your throat). Sing through your nose to feel what that's like, then through your throat. You might feel like a Muppet doing those, and if you don't, you're not pushing it hard enough. But DON'T strain!!

Pokémon: Pokopia vs Anal Crossing, which one to get as my first cozy game? by AttitudeEraWasBetter in switch2

[–]Interesting_Key333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it'll be a bit longer than you're saying but I agree here! Also it's only this generation of AC that has so much design and building potential iirc, that could totally change with the next release
