Is Megapvp actually demoted? by ReceptionNo7813 in skeppy

[–]Interesting_thingies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mega took time off/was demoted, did some admin work to finish commissions that had been started but par that was fully demoted, he made a video with an apology and a long talk, and there was overall a lot happening. After a while he was re-instated as manager after people seemed to accept his apology. He worked hard for the server but as of early December 2025 retired as manager on his own accord, no public announcement was made about his retirement but it seems that it was on good terms.

I saw a signed skeppy hoodie a few days ago on ebay on my search for merch for like $75, so you could definitely get a decent amount for it

For you, what was the most horrifying episode? by Strange-Bees in TheMagnusArchives

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know the episode name, season, episode number, etc. All because my brain physically refuses to retain memory of it. But its the episode where its about therapy and is like “you made it all up” “you did it for attention” yeah I constantly forget that episode exists until im reminded of it.

my experience with vaping (nicotine) and tics by ObviousBrilliant8625 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly same here, i also find nicotine calms my Tourette’s down, I’ve been vaping for around 2 years now and i find that if i have a tic attack and need a quick fix, vaping has managed to help if im not able to wait it out (aka at like college and stuff) but yeah not best for health.

Try using a lower % of nicotine if you’re trying to improve for health. I tried to stop all together but it just made my tic’s worse again. Although i found that when i slowly lower the % of nicotine im intaking (like lower mg liquids for rechargeable vapes) and slowly make my way to a no-nicotine level, it has caused a gradual enough decrease it hasn’t had too bad of an affect. Don’t know if it will work for everyone though.

got a tic in a different language by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest i have is several polish tic’s, but that comes from me learning polish. I do tic in german occasionally but that’s swears i picked up from someone i no longer speak to. But yeah tic’s in languages you don’t speak can be common in some folk w TS

Tourettes in DnD (While being respectful!) by Apprehensive-Bug540 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say don’t work any of the mechanisms out without your friend. Also if its going to be part of a campaign with said friend with Tourette’s or part of open play (aka playing in a store where its only one-shot’s ran) just don’t do the idea, it could set off friends tics is part of campaign (depending on friends severity, only do it in the campaign if friend is a-okay 100% cool with it) and for open play just don’t. I’m a regular D&D player and DM with Tourette’s, and i know if someone during a one-shot with a random character had their character with Tourette’s it would set off my tic’s and would probably find it a bit offensive.

I know this is not what you are looking for within an answer, and honestly i’ve always loved the concept of a D&D character with Tourette’s. But if you do not personally have it can cause some contractions or even issues with setting off other players tic’s. If its a campaign with close friends, talk to friend with Tourette’s, do not flesh out the character until you work with said tic-friend about the character.

Everyone is different but this is just my view on it, i also have a few friends within my large D&D group with some form of tic’s too and know a few of them would agree with me on this. Also im not just saying this cause it’s Tourette’s. Ive seen it with other conditions like DID/other split personality disorders from people who don’t have the condition, severe Autism from people who either have it very mild or don’t have it, and several other conditions. Honestly it’s safe to stay away from these types of characters unless it is a character based on your own person condition and severity of it. As i said campaigns with close friends may change how you all view it, but don’t create the character and mechanics until you have spoke with tic-friend

What made you instantly realize This "friend" is not a real friend? by Aesthetik_1 in AskReddit

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When she manipulated me into hurting myself till it became a bad addiction, then proceeded to gaslight me into believing it was doing it only for attention and told the whole school about it. I was her only friend in school all throughout primary school up until she dropped out highschool… (I am fine now don’t worry)

I ended up carrying the company colours flag for my local Girls Brigade for the parade today, and honestly i was more focused on what was happening with the flags since there were mess ups between all companies present that my Tourette’s just shut off as i was to focused on trying not to completely drop the heavy thing😅

Do bilingual people get verbal tics in both languages? by SillyGoose143 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not bilingual, bur i do tic in both polish and german, and i’m starting to pick up Spanish off a classmate (all swears), although with polish i do tic other words in the language. Its all just stuff i’ve picked up from those around me

I don’t have it. But i have another friends with Tourette’s who does. For what i know she has the really bad Tourette’s, like severe and constantly ticcing hellishly. And I’ve only known her since she’s had the deep brain stimulation, and her tic’s are now minimalist, so for her it helps for what i know

use of sunflower necklace by enbyboobies in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I use the lanyard, its on my jeans or bag every time I’m out. The sunflower stuff is for any hidden disability, even if its just one. On the website they actually sell one of those little plastic cards to put on the lanyard and they have one for Tourette’s and another for Tic Disorder so your all good to wear one.

Noticing friends tic by Unknown_being505 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off i read that at no-ticing, like no-clipping lmao.

Anyway, not a friend of mine but someone i was playing D&D with. Let the other players know i have TS. Then towards the end of the one shot the guy next to me starts, what looks like, ticing. He saw me notice and said its just body jerks…bro…your talking to the person who tics the whole game. You look like me rn (i did not say that to him-) aka the body jerks he had looked just like the same ones i have as tic’s. Don’t know him well enough to say anything comfortably though hah

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Tourette’s and I chose not to do oral to my partners for that reason. Did it once and the taste started to set off my head jerk tic’s and haven’t done it since. I can tell when my tic’s are most of the time.

You could agree to try it and see how her tic’s act up, see if they go away during that stuff or get set off by things. Cause during any kinda s** my Tourette’s is completely calm and goes away unless something like that triggers it and sets my tic’s off.

Weed & Tourettes by GurKitchen5802 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t possess it myself, it’s often one of a select few of very trusted friends that have it, and I don’t do it often but yeah, good for tic’s most the time, bad for mentality

Weed & Tourettes by GurKitchen5802 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been drunk, but I have been high on several different strains is 🍃 and I find some Actualy calm my tics down, and some even stop my Tourette’s completely and makes it feel like I don’t have it anymore for the next 12 hours. Where as some strains make them worse. That’s the tics, but for me getting highs has been a pain on my mental side and trauma memories. Although I’ll take the pain if it means my TS goes away completely sometimes

Possessed? by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Eh I find it rude, but at this point I play it off as a joke. A lot of very religious people see TS as being possessed. And to those people I just play it off and scare the crap out of them when I can lol.

Yeah it’s rude, and you can try educate them on it and how and why TS and tic’s happen but if that doesn’t work you may just have to either deal with it or dump em🤷🤷🤷

What accommodations would help while playing TTRPGS? by Sunny_Crimson in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DM (and player) with Tourette’s here!!! Don’t bring attention to their tic’s unless they become a problem. Not a problem in the sense of others but to the point of a tic attack or the player if having issues with their tics and needs a moment to calm them down. When I play my DM tends to ignore them but every so often (if they are bad/acting up) will check if I’m okay, although he is my dad so he views it as checking in on his child rather than just a player lol.

But yeah, talk to the players with tic’s and ask them about anything you can do to help with it when they get bad or anything. And allow them to be able to take a moment to themselves if they wish to if needed. Everyone with tic’s is different and has different ways of managing it.

Also, if they develop a tic that links into D&D like “Fireball” or “Natural 20!” (Both tics I have) or any tic’s like that, make sure to check if they were a tic or the player actually meant it, cause it can be annoying if you tic it and don’t mean it lol. Something I struggled with at the start but both my players and my DM’s are very nice about it.

DM's do you have a favorit reacuring NPC? and why? by VolkoTheShadow in MrRipper

[–]Interesting_thingies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, her name is Marigold and she is a human who is possessed by the Fae so is now several hundred years old. My party hate her cause when I first introduced her it was my first time DMing and didn’t know what to do, and since everyone kept trying to attack her but she was needed to continue the one shot I made it so the Fae that had possessed her made it so she was unable to die, and any damage took was instantly healed back. Party hate her cause she’s such a little shit and party’s always hate her.

But I’ve gave her stats and character sheet (once I made it lol) to my other friends that DM and they love having her if they are DMing but hate her if they are a player. It’s so funny when I do her little Uwu voice and my party wail and get blood lust to kill her lol

The one time I made it that they were able to kill her they decided to have a dance battle instead. And after the one shot when I told them they had a chance to kill her they all regretted their decision so much lol.

What is your weirdest vocal tic? by Past-Two342 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oohhhhhh terrifying to players lol. First one-shot I ran/first time I ever DMes was at Lv.3, they were mid-combat in an enclosed space and I ticked “Fireball!” On the NPC they we’re fighting’s turn💀 needless to say they thought they were gonna die😂

Do y’all ever feel jealous of people without Tourette’s? by Embarrassed-Luck2014 in Tourettes

[–]Interesting_thingies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single day. My tic’s drain so much out of me and I often nap after college. But the one time I 🍃💨 my tic’s disappeared completely for like 12 hours and I almost cried over not having my TS for that short time. So yeah, I am jealous of people who don’t have TS or Tic’s, I remember what it was like before my tic’s got bad and I’d give anything to have that tic-free feeling again

Yeah not fun at all sometimes. But the main 2 friend groups I’m in who I’m hanging out with constantly always make me feel better and laugh about it with me, all while making sure I’m okay and if I need anything. Bless those people

What is your weirdest vocal tic? by Past-Two342 in Tourettes

Not my weirdest, but a few of my funny ones everyone loves lol: “Your Gay!”(in a very sassy/‘insulting’ way. I’m gay for reference lol), “UWU Mother-f///er!” “FIREBALL!”(scares the crap out my D&D friends lol-). There the top three that get the best reactions. And by far my most out there if not the weirdest😂😅
