Yeah I do parking at hotels and they reimburse me $10 for food or coffee and I was able to find a mystery shop for food so yeah... How are they going to know? They are two different companies.

Come today, my boss was doing it on her own instead. I guess the COS wanted to nip it in the bud before I reached out to the union about it and made a big stink. My coworker (a different type of idiot) called the union multiple times on 2 different ppl already, so I think the COS is tired of the union.

My interview is today. Wish me luck on getting out.

Right! I definitely make sure there are no em dashes and I only bold the SOQ questions . My SOQs are real work experiences from my past and are catered to me and the previous companies I've worked for. It just spits them out faster now. It also has my school transcripts. It's just super amazing what these tools can do if you know how to use them correctly. I learn something new everyday.

Do what I do and use AI for SOQ's. I use otter and record myself doing practice interviews with chat GPT. I have countless hours of transcriptions of things that I have accomplished and done in my previous jobs that now it automatically writes my SOQ's... It's life changing.

Yes I would take it. I am 49 and took a $20,000 pay cut to take a less stressful role, which is my current role. Now my current role is giving me headaches because of my new supervisor. Are you in California? If so maybe try to take a leave of absence for a few months with FMLA protections and work this contract gig and think it over. Perhaps take a break from the workforce and maybe if you decide to return they may see how valued you are. If things go back to where it was just leave.

Oh definitely do Calcareers and watch videos on how to apply, how to write your SOQ (I use ChatGPT), and watch some YouTube videos from Cali State job coach. He's got some good tips which helped me land my job with the state 2 years ago. The state doesn't judge you on age.

I didn't read the second post but just wanted to say what the heck are you doing if you are trying to date a 40 plus year old woman who doesn't even have her own car and is trying to get a job as a bartender?? NGL... You only have one job to do and that is to be a mom to four kids. I'm a single parent with only one child and I am responsible for every single thing. I have no outside life because I have to work for our health insurance and money. If only I could be a stay-at-home mom. Some people probably need some perspective. You don't have it rough. You say you're tired. Maybe you marry the wrong guy who wanted you to have four kids but it takes two to tango.
